Example I rejected this guy and he got a girlfriend a month later. They are still dating, but he was making stuff up about me and makes everyone seem like I'm crazy. Why can't he just get over it

In my opinion likely male ego as I find guys tend to be highly narcissistic and egoistical often thinking they're always right and overestimating how appealing they are and how much a gal desires them. Rejection is a blow to that ego thus to equalize they seek to hurt/harm as well as I find guys innately desire to mistreat gals so this desire is satiated by his male ego blow.

why do girls seek revenge for breakups and rejection? No seriously why? I see a lot of revenge questions on this site where a girl gets rejected or dumped and she asks "who can I get back at him?" Why do girls do it? This isn't a one gender problem. Some people just suck. Solve why girls do it, you might have your answer. Might easily be the same reason.

it's how some people react to a situation. after giving your entire trust to a person and she destroys it it's normal that it gives a more than a reason to worry. revenge is a path where some guys take to get over it not most of the guys

Because rejection is one of the most painful things that guys face, and some guys face it so often that they become bitter, and some guys turn from bitter to angry and become revenge seekers. I've faced a lot of rejection myself, and though I am technically bitter, I have no plans of ever going into the angry revenge phase, I'm far too nice of a guy to ever let things go that far.
