Bad texter vs not interested?

What's the difference in someone who isn't interested and someone who is just a bad texter?

Signs:

•One word texts

•Will text first but only to tell something for a purpose

•texts back quickly but still short answer

•will talk but only if constant questions are asked

•ends conversation without saying bye at first one word response by me

•May text back in 30 min finally asking a question to keep conversation

•is nice when texting though

•in person is a good friend (May be one way friend)

I like to think I'm not a bad texter...but when she's not talkative then I'm not either.

Seems like she's just a bad texter to me. I'm totally guilty of that as well, so talking from experience. I'm led to believe that because, of two things. First, she texts to ask things with a purpose. This says, for her, texting is a tool. She wants to know something, she asks it, she moves on. Done. Your text conversations might be awkward for her, or at least something she's not familiar with. The second thing is the fact that she texts you back 30 min later. If a guy I didn't like was texting me and I missed it, I sure wouldn't text back later to see what's up! It shows she does want to talk to you, but it just seems like texting isn't her thing.

I would recommend testing the waters in real life. How does she act towards you when you see her? I can't say for sure that she's interested as more than a friend, but it definitely sounds like she's a bad texter. I would try to talk to her more face-to-face and see what happens! :)

I mean we don't text much at all. We talk at least once a day in school. She's better in person. She doesn't do that 30min later stuff often to keep things going. She always texts back eventually if I say hey. I think you're right it's a tool for her, but it could also be that I'm just not one that she wants to text. I'm at least a friend. Thanks!
