My doctor asked me if I have a boyfriend?

My chiropractor asked me if I have anyone special in my life, like a guy. He smiles and jokes a lot when he talks to me and asks me questions as if to know more about me, like for example where I'm from (my nationality) or about how many siblings I have (we were talking about my sister who wanted to start coming to the same doctor for her head injury). He also has a nickname for me and calls me "kid" which I don't mind. All my previous doctors were friendly like him but they've never asked me any personal questions about my life just to get to know me. So why would my doctor want to know if I have a boyfriend? I'm sort of attracted to him too but I don't want him to know at all because he is my doctor and is much older than I am. But I'm afraid I subconsciously make a lot of eye contact with him so he might know.

But about the eye contact, I don't think that you are giving him signs by doing some "eye contacts" .. Eye contacts are normal..
Smiling in a certain way would be a sign for me :)

he's probably being friendly - sometimes doctors ask such questiosn like when you are about to go for a operation, etc they ask you if you have an active sex life. So just overlook it

Yeah that's what I thought but it just came out of nowhere. First he's my chiropractor so I don't know if knowing about my sex life has anything to do with my bones. He first asked me how old I was while I was lying down and he was adjusting my bones, and then after I told him he asked if I had a boyfriend, with a curious smile on his face.

He could like you, but doctors and such always try to be chatty and make nice conversation.
