Playful punches from women?

So there's this girl I've known since we were kids. We take dance classes sometimes and partner up there often. We joke around a lot.

She often punches me softly a lot on my chest. then smile a bit. Didn't give that much meaning. I've just noticed recently that she only does this to me. When she punches our mutual guy friends, she usually does that when they make joke around her, she punches them in the shoulder with an annoyed look ( I know an annoyed face when I see one). Oh and when we hold hands (well we dance together) she sometimes dig her nails deep into my hand.

Not assuming she likes me since she does throw insults at me a lot

However, to be quite---up front and personal------if your tomcat partner ever wants to get further with you, or just anything with a whisker, I would suggest drawing in the claws and use more of the gentle touch.

Yes, I do agree, the hand in hand nail-digging is overboard, but more than this, it's Overkill, as well. Being you have known Miss Kitty since you were kids, you might want her to tone down the hissing, and to leave her paws off the other "cats".

You can say this in a "joking"way, the same way she throws soft punches and flippant insults your ways. During the course of your "cat dancing" classes, if something is Not mentioned, she is going to continue her kneading, and instead of leading, with claws and all, someone may end up---bleeding. And that someone could be you.

I'm actually surprised your mutual buds haven't said anything about the "left hooks," but I feel it isn't necessary to lay her paws over them, and that includes you. It's not only Not lady like in public, but in poor taste, and she should be scolded either by you, or it might come down to it where----the top shelf head of the class, may not find this amusing, nor "pussyfoot"around in saying something.

I don't have a problem when a girl and a guy are together in the privacy of their own domain and play around like "Punch and Judy." Thar's their business, and their thing.
