I want to hear your vents about your crush. Are they not noticing that you have feelings? Did they blow you off? Are they taken? Vent or ask for advice, I'll try to help :)

I'll kick it off. I'm in absolute adoration of this guy, and I have no idea where his thoughts lie. I sent him a Facebook message last night after being nervous about it for hours and he still hasn't 'seen' it yet! So much frustration!

I met this guy, who became my friend, last semester when we were put into the same group. At that time I was not interested in him because I was already crushing on someone else. Same with him. Throughout the summer I eventually got over my crush. I would randomly talk with this friend during the summer. It was just small comments here and there, nothing personal or intriguing. Anyways, as the new semester began he was a bit different. We actually saw each other a lot and talked here and there whenever we saw each other. We both run on different schedules so it was a nice to run into each other whenever possible. Anyways, I started seeing him as someone with potential. I never wanted to like anyone younger than me but he is 2 years younger than me. Aside from the age, he was literally everything I had always wanted in a man since middle school. I never really came across my ideal type until now. I saw him in this positive light but the people around me began to tell me things about this guy, saying this and that about him. It really shattered my positive view of him, but of course I did not let that hinder me from still liking him. He's a good guy but he isn't entirely mature in the head yet, if that make sense. I heard from my guy friend that he told my friend that I was special to him. My friend would not tell me more of what the guy said, sadly. Of course that made me happy but I was anxious to know if it was true so I confronted the guy. He said he did not know but he didn't say he could not remember. It was pretty much beating around the bush. Of course that frustrated me. I decided to let it go. Our friendship soon became distant halfway through the semester. We became less talkative and friendly looking. I mean, when we do see each other and talk we're fine but in general it's very awkward. He frustrates me because he says one thing but does not do it. He doesn't want to be in a relationship because he's leaving for the year and I'll be graduated already when he comes back. It just frustrates me that he can't be a man & be honest when I gave him the opportunity to. I'm direct and honest with him, but for him to not return the same thing frustrates me. We are friends for a reason, and if he doesn't value our friendship then I don't know if I still want to be friends with him. I guess you can say that I'm frustrated with him is because he doesn't seem to value our friendship as much as I do. I keep giving more than I should. It's tiring & frustrating.

1) A semester, and beginning of second semester, of talkin to my crush.. I know lots of things about him.. but yet I still can't talk to him like a normal being. I get shy, awkward, quiet, flustered, and speechless.

2) I have no idea if he likes me back. He ALWAYS inhiated convos and talked to me constantly no matter how much I shot him down due to my shyness. I always caught him staring at me in class and in the hall. After first semester, we have no classes together.. but he started talking to me on fb and later got my number I was certain he liked me back.

But he does this annoying thing where he sometimes takes days to respond back to me which makes me question if he wants to talk to me. but then when he does respond, he sends paragraphs, pictures, and videos.

He also sent me a song and at the end he implied he wanted to go out with me.

So I flirted back with him and complimented on his smile. And he said thanks.. AFTER 3 DAYS -_- I thought he didn't like me so I didn't respond. 4 days later, he asks if I'm mad at him. Well you took 3 days to respond to a compliment, I'm not going to think you like me

Then we started talking again... I know for a fact he genuinely wants to talk to me since he always starts the conversation within 3 days if I dont, but GOD. I don't really know what's going between us anymore .. I guess we're friends, and I don't know if he shares my feelings

3) I NEVER see him in real life. So were always texting. Which sucks. Since I'm still incapable of holding a conversation in real life

4) Oh wait I did see him in real life. All he did was stare and not talk to me. I didn't approach him because he was with a buuunch of people

5) I'm confused why he persistently tries to get to know me and texts me but doesn't ask me out or ask to hang or whatever. I know its atwo way street and believe me id ask him out if I wasn't socially incapable of holding a conversation in real life. I'm not really sure if he's being "friendly" with me or is interested in me more than as a friend. Stupid mixed signals

Ohmygod I hate texting mind games as much as you do! I think you just need to brush the texting under the carpet for a while and try something else. Talk on social media twitter, or do a phone call. Figure out who his friends are, make friends with them, hang out places he would see you and for the love of god, it doesn't matter who talks to who first, so long as you just talk! If you don't think you will be socially capable of having a convo in real life, why even pursue him at all?

Ugh your right! Today i had the chance to say hi to him but when i saw him, i freaked out, and turned to the other hall. My friends who were with me wouldn't stop laughing -.- But if i dont talk to him NOTHING WILL HAPPEN I need to woman up! There's this guy at work who I had the biggest crush on. He was everything I've been looking for in a man right down to the flaws. Sadly, he know saw me as a friend and nothing more. He dated a co-worker and gave me a piece of advice which was to never date a co-worker because in the end things would get awkward. Unfortunately, he moved to another state and I miss him so much. I miss our random/silly conversations at work. I miss his chivalrous ways, always helping me whenever I needed his help and offering his help whenever I was around. I miss awkwardness, his laugh, his smile, his voice, his personality. I miss the lingering stares/touches, the fact that he would always look into my eyes, focused on what I had to say and asked questions or responded with a nod or by adding something to it. What I miss the most are those nighttime Facebook conversations about life, our fears, and awful past experiences which we had in common, and him telling me about his family, like his brothers and sister. I really miss it now more than ever because we don't even talk anymore. Now it feels like we aren't even friends anymore and it sucks.

I'm not sure how old you are, but yea it's hard to maintain friendships when people move long distances, let alone crushes. Maybe you can just keep in touch with him to maintain a friendship foundation, and move on? Focus on people around you? If you keep in touch there could always be an option of a relationship if you ever live near one another again. In the meantime, keep Facebook messaging him. If you keep in touch and don't date EVER, it's still nice to know the he is in your corner.

I try to move on but it's hard. I'm either dreaming about him, seeing him in other people, and then when my shift overlaps with his brother, and makes it harder. I'm constantly reminding myself that we could only be friends and nothing more. I know I'll get over this crush someday.

There has been only one girl I have genuinely had a crush on since High School! We have been good friends ever since tenth grade and I have had a huge crush on her ever since. The thing is I have always been horrible with flirting / talking to girls in general. Due to this I have only hung out with her alone a few times and both times I felt were so awkward cause I was so damn nervous! I only really tried to actively pursue her my senior year which I feel may have been part of my problem as well. We are both freshman in college now and attend different schools. I have only seen her once since the beginning of the school year during winter break. The only communication we have now is texting which happens occasionally and is usually initiated by me. We have super long conversations about whatever and I feel sometimes she tries to drop some type of hints but I can never be sure. So now to the present, spring break is coming up and ours just happen to fall on the same days. I feel this will be the perfect time to show her how I really feel about her whether she feels the same way or not. So I am looking for some advice on how and what should I say to her. I am definitely going to see her multiple times over the course of spring break regardless due to parties / social things. GROW SOME NARDS :)! Holy hell that has to be some intense build of of crushing, you are talking multiple freaking years. I think you need to go into this guns blazing, friendship be damned for the moment, because you clearly are looking for more than friendship. If she doesn't reciprocate, then you can focus on mending the friendship. At a party take her aside privately, ask her to hang out one on one, and then tell her how you feel flat out, no games. My crushes do not see messages for hours. When they do see it, they may even take days to reply. They may even forget about replying - I have to take care not to text them before they reply or they will forget. Sometimes when I pretend to be busy and not reply, they will suddenly "recall" the message/topic they forgot to reply to and go back and talk about it again. Haha. I feel bad but I had to do it, or I'm simply getting walked over.

My frustration: my crush is too busy to go out with me. She would rather hang out with friends or chill at home. Understandably, because she is so busy she hasn't had time to rest and enjoy herself, so she deserves to do what she loves with her spare time while she can. And I'm not that close to her yet.

Still, it is a frustrating feeling. I can't help it. And it's making my feelings for her fluctuate a lot, generally for the worse.

I would suggest that you arrange a relaxing date then! A simple movie night in, or just come over and study with her while she is at home, because then she is seeing you in her 'productive' time, and will still have her own spare time. And maybe you should get closer to her so that she feels a stronger connection to you, so that you are a main focus of what she loves to do in her spare time :)

Im gonna be harsh with you dude but in this situation it is needed. You need to get over this girl because from the information given she seems to have no interest in you. There is no such thing as being "too busy" to go out with someone just once, its called an excuse. Once a girl has labeled you as a friend it is extremely hard to get past it. Wow my crush he's just so ughh! Moving on...I've known him since freshman year of high school. We never had many classes together, throughout hs it was at most 3 classes together. Anyway we got close whenever we did see each other. He was very unique he would write poetry, raps, and on the weekends he was a DJ. Our senior year a week before winter break he finally got a phone and was asking around for my number. I took his phone put my name and number and vice versa but he changed my name as a contact and to this day I don't know what it is. Moving on his mixed signals was what really kinda threw me off. He went from hugging me randomly at the most 3x a day to being mad at me and ignoring me. He mad 8 songs/raps around me in class. We would text during winter break 3 or 4x a week for up to 6 hours at a time. He would always want me to skip and go to lunch with him. (I had a different lunch time) He always wanted to feed me. Like actually take whatever he was eating with his own fork or spoon and push it toward my mouth so I could eat it. He indirectly asked me to the Valentine's day dance. (I think) and a whole lot more. But those come to.mind right now. And well its been years, we text but usually special occasions like birthdays or holidays. And between those years he has always wanted to see me but I was usually working or couldn't make it. And when I could all the plans just went crazy and we just couldn't. I miss him. He's called me between those Yeats and has wanted to see me, he mentioned me moving to where he lives and see what life has in store for me, he said I should take a chance. Its just everything and when I think I'm over him he sends me one random text and I feel everything come back full force. It's just so complicated and I do like him. But I think I just made things worse and more complicated, unintentionally of course. Ughh F.M.L lol jk :P

Okay, so there's this cute boy in my grade, possibly the cutest. He's not the only cute boy in the grade, but he's the only one I pay attention to. He's a jock, which makes me frustrated because I used to tell myself that I would never be that stereotypical teenage girl who falls for the high school quarterback in the movies. But I did and I don't know how but I did. not only is he a jock but he is crazy popular. Crazy. Although, I never see him talk to any girls, just his (guy) friends that are ALSO athletic in some type of way. My friend was his lab partner for a semester and she told me he's an idiot and a jerk. Unfortunately, she thinks that about all men and thinks they're scum. My heart kind of wavered a bit when I first heard him talk near me, it hurt a little because he cursed a bit and has that typical teenaged boy "must-be-a-tough-dude" exterior. other than that, I continued to like him. I tried several times to quit feeling these silly feelings of "crushes" but whenever I see him walk down the hall, it's like the world falters and, all of a sudden, it's like my entire opinion about him changes and I go weak in the knees. SERIOUSLY THOUGH! He has a gorgeous smile, pitch-black raven hair, 6 feet and 2 inches of healthy muscle ( I hate really huge muscles but his are perfect), and brown eyes. He's beautiful. My god, now I sound like I'm worshipping him and stalking him. I'm not. Im not THAT weird. I just take it all in in one glance because I'm that total OPPOSITE of what kind of girl boys would prefer. I have layers brown hair, boring stormy eyes, non-athletic and not pretty. I'm plain. I don't do sports. I don't do a whole lot of makeup (though I wanna try). I'm a bookworm who hangs out at my school's library. He could never notice me. And it sucks. ugh, VENTING!

I literally had flashbacks to highschool crushes reading this. And I'm going to give you the advice I wish I would have had. You've probably heard it before, but I want you to consider taking this advice to heart.

He is just a PERSON. He has insecurities. Maybe he is bad at biology. Maybe he doesn't like how his hair does a certain flip. Maybe he hates his singing voice. My point is that you shouldn't put a person on such a pedestal that you think you'd never have a chance with him, because you think he is better than you. That isn't true. You shouldn't think you are less worthy of a person than him. I want you to be the person you want to be, the kind of person you wish you were. You wanna try makeup? Do it. You want more exciting eyes? Find a passion. Those are the kind of people that catch the attention of others. Be someone to yourself, and others will take note. You are better than average. Do something about it.

ok, story time... so over a year ago, i met this guy who is best friends with my cousin. we started talking online and we got really serious about each other, but he lived a few states over and it just didn't work out. then, about 8 months ago his family moved in with my cousins family. and up until two weeks ago, when i went to visit my cousins, i had never met him in person. we were both terrified that it was gonna be weird or awkward. but it was totally fine. and then as my trip went on, i kept noticing him do things or say things that made me think that he had feelings for me again. my cousin reassured me that he didn't, but im not so convinced.
for starters, he kept bringing up when me and him dated, or tried to reference things that only me and him would understand.
every time i brought up a different guy, he would start asking a bunch of questions and being all weird.
he was trying extra hard to be friends with my brothers and make a good impression on my mom.
he always start by sitting across from me and then slowly somehow end up next to me.
he freaking would not stop staring at me.
he brought out his guitar any chance he got and would play "our songs" for a second, until i looked at him, and then he would smile and start playing something else.
i got sick while i was there, and he kept making me tea and forced me to drink it and take medicine even tho i hate both

My frustration when it comes to my crush? The mixed signals he`s giving. One day he stares at me, approaches me, teases me, plays with my stuff (pen, crayons... we`re classmates), or at least tries to be where I am (but doesn't say anything to me); next day he avoids me like the plague. It confuses me. But, at the same time, I`m 90% of the time shy around him so I suppose he thinks I`m playing games with him too.

Regarding your frustration:

° if he likes you, maybe he didn't answer yet because he doesn't know what to say/ is playing hard to get/ didn't see your message/ didn't have time to respond

° if he doesn't, then maybe that's why he didn't answer. Or, again, he doesn't know how to answer/ didn't see the message/ doesn't have time to respond.

Mind games are such an annoyance! Yea, just say you'd like to study for a test with him, and go to a coffee shop to do it or something :) I think a friendship foundation is really important for relationships.

Thanks for the advice but, see, we never hung out before(even if it is for "school purposes") and I'm mostly shy around him so it's hard for me to invite him to a coffee shop or some place similar. In addition, asking him out would probably show him that I have feelings for him and it's too early. But I could ask for his help during a school break(each break lats 10 min in Romania).

I will give you my venting:

This guy and I have been talking and flirting for a while now. A couple weeks ago I left my number on his car saying we should hangout sometimes. I really didn't want to, but my friends said that he definitely likes me but is probably afraid of being rejected, so I figured I have nothing to lose. 5 days later, after we were able to talk in person, he acknowledged the note and said that we will hangout the next time he and his "funny friend who I would like" are working at the bar, but with his busy schedule it may take awhile. I believe him with that because he is busy, but why would he need his friend there, why hasn't he texted me yet and would it really matter how busy he is? I feel like despite being busy he would try to want to see me. We talk everyday, flirt and finally broke the touch barrier. What are your thoughts?

I think that with guys, even if they like you, they aren't willing to make you number one priority if you haven't become close yet! I love that you left your number first- it's good to have that sort of confidence to start out with. I'd say just keep that confidence, and remember that there's nothing to lose here...he might need his friend for comfort level, since the two of you aren't close! Just give the both of you a breather. If in three days he hasn't texted you yet, send him one yourself

I actually posted a question about this haha. Well there is this guy in my class and I just think he is super cute and I don't know how to begin talking to him. We sit directly across from each other, the aisle separates us (someone suggested I move my seat which I did but only for a day). So far we have only made eye contact, and I laughed at something he said in class and he looked at me and started laughing too. One day after class I was ahead of him and we both ended up parking in the garage at our school however he took the stairs and I took the elevator because I was one floor ahead of him. Long story short, I feel like if he was going to/wanted to say something by now he would've, especially at the elevator. But I want him to! lol. Also, we're different races and I don't know if he's into dating outside his race.

He's two years older than me - a senior in high school. We actually did start texting a lot, but never more than a typical "hey what's up" type conversation. I knew from the beginning that it couldn't realistically work out, but this pretty much sucks.

I guess from here I'd suggest one of two things... either totally commit to being just friends, so that your heart isn't broken come college time when he wants to be with other girls, and figure out his whole life thing, or make a conscious decision if you would be OK letting go of him at that point in time, and let him know so you can be romanticlly involve

My crush is my best friend. It's frustrating because I can't tell wether he's just being a friend or he is dropping some hints. For example, he says so sweet things to me: that I am his true love, that he wanst to marry me, that he would take a bullet for me. Probably worse once they have 'seen' it because then I consciously know they have had the chance to reply but didn't either for mind games or lack of caring! I never delay reading it once they reply. I just can't get into the whole waiting thing, if he is someone I like, I'm going to reply the second I see it because I WANT to talk to him, and could care less about how soon I reply. Now, after three times of waiting multiple days I'd probably take the hint and move on, so not to seem desperate

I'd say to go into this knowing that once you're in a relationship you shouldn't want to change him, but accept him for who he is. That being said, he also can't ask you to change your beliefs. Try and decide if you want to date based on your moral beliefs and if you are keeping yourself sage in regards to such a relationship.

Despite being known as a flirt, people started in on me and the guy I legitimately like about flirting, which is giving me the idea that I'm either being more blunt than I normally am or he is reciprocating in a more genuine way, or both. My teachers even comment on the two of us, even though I spend more time with other people in our classes than with him. I want to ask him so badly whether he actually likes me, but I'm pretty terrified of the outcome of that, despite him being really chill and probably understanding of such situations. It's so nerve-wracking, especially considering that he's graduating soon.

Ahah well... He acted like he secretly liked me forever. He had a girlfriend though, so he hid it. Over 3 weeks ago, they broke up. He stopped hiding his feelings for me, and I thought we
actually had a chance. I got my hopes up, and then all of a sudden Thursday, it stopped. Everything he did to make me think he liked for months stopped. All this progress. Then nothing. Something happened, and I don't know what. I don't know what to believe anymore.

I recently asked a girl out at work. She said no because she does not want to deal with any drama and likes how things are now at work. Normally I wouldn't care as much but she is the first girl I have legit liked since my ex over a year ago... I don't blame her, but it still kind of hurts and sucks lol

That sucks! Just continue to grow your friendship, and if she is worth it to you just wait till one of you quits I suppose. Just make sure that you aren't waiting around for a girl who claims she doesn't want drama, but actually isn't into you. When a guy professes feelings to me I tend to start to like him more even if I initially refuse, because you have planted a seed in my head where I consider what could be; so just be an awesome friend and that door might open later :)

Thank you very much! I intend to grow our friendship, I'm actually okay with having female friends, in fact I enjoy them. I am just insanely attracted to this one physically... I am by no means sitting around and waiting or hoping, I just work tons and don't meet people outside of work, so it's kind of my only place to meet people...

I had a girl that I noticed liked me. Everyone told me I'm right and she does like me. I eventually confessed... she said she's not into me. Everyone keeps telling me she likes me. It's obvious trust me...

I would only do that if I was terrified of being in a relationship, whether it be due to timing or insecurities, etc. She may feel scared to be vulnerable with you! Just spend more time with her without other people around. "everyone told me I'm right" sounds like there is a lot of people involved, and maybe she will feel more comfortable when multiple parties and speculations aren't involved :)

Well, at first he told me he liked me, and telling me things i want to hear. like he was leading me on, he wanted to hook up, and stuff. I was like okay, but then he was like i don't want a relationship.. i was like okay i don't either its cool. but then we hooked up and then the next day he said I'm sorry that he felt guilty, and i was like its okay. I started to crush on him, and now i can't like stop, thinking about him... but i think i pushed him away, i said i wanted to just be friends, and he was cool with it, but he doesn't seem fine with it. I agree with 05Jueey. I don't understand the girls who go for the jackass who cheats on them. I tend to fall for the sweet boys who treat me like a princess, but who maybe are a little bit harder to read themselves. Just don't change who you are at the core just to get a girl. stay sweet, and you will get a sweet girl.
