No. They made it more racist because they disenfranchised people of color from the marketing.
To my knowledge, sales have not dropped due to the branding change and if people of color were the ones asking for the change, they can hardly get mad when it happens as per their wishes.
Food never was racist. It is the actual racist that claims that and plays the race card.
