Do you think kinder surprise eggs should be banned in your country?

In my country (US), these treats are banned because the small toy inside can present a choking hazard.

I personally think the US ban is pretty stupid. They have been around since I was a kid and not only have I never been so dumb as to choke on the toy, but I have never known a single person in Canada or Australia who ever has, be that when they were a kid or with their own kids.

I mean if there is really such a concern towards toddlers or whatever choking on them then have an age restriction on them for like age 5 and up.

If kids 5 or older are dumb enough to shove toys down their throat then that's natural selection... And jail the parents for raising a dumbass.

No it's the parents responsibility to buy it or not for them. They know the hazard. So they should keep an eye on their child while they have it

wow un yet children can gain access to guns and kill each other but they can't have a little chocolate egg... i witnessed a video recently where a four year old boy could load and change the cartridge on a serious looking weapon with absolute glee filmed at some sort of gun show/event and yet legally these eggs are banned? unrelated yes these eggs should be banned for the fact they are unhealthy for human consumption and the toy is unhealthy trash for the environment xx

NO, love those egg when we were in Germany, I was happy when I finally seen a display of them here in the US got three of them and when I got home and opened I was so pissed I never opened the other two. You see the US version a ugly half egg and the other of the egg a even uglier toy. The German egg is a cool whole chocolate egg you crack open and out comes a plastic holder with a neat toy. Some told they were like illegal here I the US. Guess they are to many dumb ass kids in America or maybe the sue happy parents.

I think it's ridiculous enough that these are banned in the US. Parents should supervise their children, and children young enough to put these in their mouth shouldn't be given chocolate anyway, as it contains far too much sugar and caffeine for their little systems.

I live in Canada so I grew up with these treats and I’m perplexed as to how a child could choke on that unless they opened their mouth like a snake and ate it from the ass end while dangling it above their head... there’s quite a bit of air between the chocolate and the toy...

In my country each Kinder egg contains a very long folded piece of paper containing disclaimers and warnings about the choking hazard. I think that most parents only buy them for older children (around 6 years and older), who are less prone to putting things in their mouths than younger children.
