Dog. It's the biggest reason why I'm hesitant to live in countries like South Korea or Vietnam.
The thought of it makes me deeply sad and angry.
Rocky mountain oysters. Something about deep friend balls doesn't do it for me
Fried
Rotten food. Some countries' delicacies are VERY fermented.
Also, blood in any form.
And anything that has margarine in it (I hate it).
Dog or cat... . (Knowingly) I eat a lot of of Chinese food so I can't be sure. 😱🤦
Thanks for mho ♥️🥰

I guess it would be humans, snakes, squids and snails. Humans because of it's my own specie and I think it's wrong to objectify people - pretending they're things (food) instead of real people who used to have ambitions, dreams, feelings etc. Killing and eating a human is like saying they're worthless, so it's a reason cannibalism is seen as morally wrong other than it being "disgusting". Human meat probably doesn't taste differently than other meat. I'm biased toward snakes, squids and snails because of they're slimy and I don't like a slimy texture. I'd rather die of starvation or jump than eating a snake.
No, it's not. If you've ever heard about the Andes mountains incident where a plane crashed and people had to survive, they ate people who died without boiling or frying them. It's not a tribal thing - but rather an emergency thing. Look it up!
Oh boy, Im a picky eater so I actually have a list of things that under any circumstance, I will not eat.
1. Most seafood. Most times I try to eat seafood, it nauseates me. The only exception to this is smoke salmon
2. Mushrooms. Even the smell of them is disgusting for me.
3. olives. All olives, regardless of colour, type, or size are revolting.
4. blue cheese, and feta cheese.
I used to be a more adventurous eater, but as I've grown older, I've become significantly more picky and choosy for some reason.
Squid is kind of tasteless but has a delicious texture. The fresher the better, though. I ate a probably-still-trying-to-breathe squid in Japan, once. It was quite good.
Anyway, cilantro does it for me. Anything with cilantro in it may as well be garbage. Like putting a wad of aluminum foil in my mouth, after soaking it in bleach and setting it on fire.
I've eaten every animal organ, a range of sea creatures and insects. Some good, some I won't be eating again. But the one thing I could never stomach is green peppers.
Impressive, since i'm a picky eater (fussy eater) but what foods does @purplepoppy eat on a regular basis and is it an issue if you and past boyfriends have not seen eye to eye on eating the same foods, having the same tastes? How picky is poppy (lol) on food and more? Lol :)
I'm a simple girl. I see something fried I'm reaching for it. I was at a buffet and assumed it was popcorn chicken. What I tasted was not popcorn chicken. I had a friend try it and tell me it was calamari. Wth is calamari I ask? Fried squid. Absolutely not.
The list is huge. I am a very picky eater despite my parents' best efforts. I absolutely despised being made to eat foods I didn't like, and I swore that once I moved out, I would never let anyone tell me what to eat, and I haven't. That is a HARD LIMIT with me.
Squid is actually decent, as well as escargot. It just tastes sort of rubbery, and seafoody lol. But if it's set in a nice seasoned garlic butter, it tastes amazing.
I wouldn't go near insects, cow's tongues or any other delicacies like that
Thanks for the warning Ash 😊
Your missing out on the snails they are deliscious , squid not so much but Otcopus is yummy. The one thing I will never ever eat is Banana even the smell makes me move away. Its a brain association thing to something that happened when I was young , to do with spiders ☺
Squid is delicious too
Its a personal choice , but Im really not keen but its good that you are. If we were all the same the world would be a boring place
I can see why you say squid isn't good... But most of the time they're not even cooked properly. It is one of the more difficult protein to cook for sure considering how fats heat transfer through it and how quickly it can become rubbery
Im trained and quallified as a chef , i know how to cook it and Im not that keen. Is that ok with you that people are different as I ain't getting into an argument over Squid
Most bugs. Liver, kidney, intestines. Otherwise I'm pretty open to trying weird stuff. Liver is disgusting, as are kidneys and intestines, but I can handle heart because it feels more like other meat as it's a muscle. I can do brain, tongue, things like that, and I can do some bugs, like ants, but I could never convince myself to eat something like a mealworm. Eilchhhh!
I have eaten rat, snake, Squirrels, deer, bear,
I've also eaten hearts livers and stomachs of many animals.
I also eaten weeds and grass and lots of bugs.
So I guess I there would not be a thing I would not eat.
In case your interested and wondering. In my 20s I have military style survivalist training. I have learned that humans can eat almost (within reason) anything.
I'm not eating Salisbury steak.
I'm not eating hamburger helper.
I'm not eating red beans and rice.
Those meals are so gross, I don't know how anyone could eat that shit
I'm a picky eater so there are countless things I wouldn't eat but the one I get the most sh*t about is eggs. I absolutely hate eggs and I won't eat them regardless of how they're prepared
Your mom must be a smart lady lol
Snail!! Makes me feel sick 🤢 and I don't know why but haggis also doesn't look appetising so I don't think I'll be trying that either!
Casu Marzu from Sardinia - a typical, maggot infested blue cheese.
I have the phobia of worms, let alone eat them.
Yep, but in Sardinia they love it so much they protested when the government tried to ban it.
Thank you! It's from the presentation of a poetry/photographic book I wrote with a photographer!
Such a princess 😛
Squid isn't even that bad like talamari
Not a fan of too many seafood type of things. They always taste fishy like the water With the exception of a few things
Sorry and i meant calamari not talamari oh dear
Ya liver is super nasty. It looks black and dark. Its mushy. And so gross
Id take a supplement too 😂
I wouldn’t eat bugs either. Thats super gross too. Like some places in china have no problem with that. But why when you have chicken. Maybe cause its cheap
Abalone (sea snail) it's even cooked alive 🙊🙊
It really is cruel and gross.
Coconut and mushrooms! Also veal but I don't know if I like the taste of not just don't like the idea
Ehh nope hate accidentally got some coconut e liquid, going to be giving it away
I can't stand the idea of eating organ meats. Liver, kidney, etc, I just won't touch it. Which is bad because I come from an area in the UK where organ meats are very common in local dishes and I just won't eat them...
squid and snails are not even that bad. I've tried snails, and they tasted like mushrooms. nothing special, but not bad either. now here's what i'd never eat: snakes (e. g. pythons, etc.), crocodiles, lizards, worms, etc.
Any kind of unorthodox edgy food like insects and snails, as well as crab and pickles. I will kill myself before someone forces me to eat pickles.
There's wiggle room with crab because I like sushi, but I hate pickles more than anything. I throw up from just the smell. I can even throw up by just thinking about them too hard.
Olive oil is wonderful, but I can't eat any kind of olives. They taste absolutely horrible to me. Aside from that, there are very few foods that I won't eat, and I'll try just about anything. Oh, I won't eat veal because of the way it is produced.
Anything that smells bad or looks bad.
Smell and taste are connected based on my experience. Plus, I would rather die than suffer with stomach problems from eating things humans are not meant to eat.
I mean, I'll try pretty much anything once, but I dislike a whole bunch of foods and I'm a very picky eater. To mention some, I'll never eat mushrooms, scallops, prawns or olives again. Once was enough.
Shrimp, i hate shrimp. Im the only person in the world who hates shrimp
My mom hates shrimp
Justine Shapiro hate shrimp
I only like baby popcorn shrimp
I really thought i was the only person lol. Interesting
Anything that's a live animal, and I wouldn't trust their snails.
I have had octopus, but I would NOT eat LIVE octopus like they do in some countries!
I see your update about "live frog sashimi"... No way would I eat that! LOL...
Well, I can imagine extreme circumstances in which I would eat anything that would not kill me 😅
Those bizarre non-vegetarian foods in Asian countries.
I've never been there too, but people shared their experience where they ordered chicken but it was dog meat.
Better make sure when you visit those countries you choose very carefully the place you will eat or end up being a vegetarian for the entire trip.
LOL, I don't even trust their vegetables, recently, on TV I saw a documentary how they make vegetables from chemicals.
Not all countries are the same, I'm sure you will have some good culinary experience when you will travel. You are most welcome to my country.
I'm not sure you even heard of my country. I live in Mauritius.
An island in the Indian Ocean. Google it
You read my mind, I would never be able to eat snail! I just think of the thing still alive and it just makes me sick to even consider having to eat it!!!
escargot is cooked, they aren't alive. The texture and taste of escargot is VERY similar to mushrooms.
Octopus and snails. I HAVE had BBQ goat (kind of like strong pork) and turtle soup (flowery aroma, rubbery bits).
Ohh okii maybe i shud try them
Tbh i drink a lot of half n. half..
With my French vanilla ice coffee
Its really awesome but ik ur lactose ugh 😟 sorry Miss Alexis
Cauliflower, brocoli, Brussel sprouts, asparagus, cabbage, lettuce, tomato, beetroot, gherkins, brain, any form of raw meat or seafood.
Emus, too. The emu is on my regiment’s badge. It is, therefore, a sacred animal to me
You never had some calimari?
That's squid, some fried calimari with marinara sauce
Haha you must be so boring to eat out with. . . :p
I am assuming you never ate frog-legs or pigs feet either?
I didn't even answer the question. . . I dont eat Vietnamese Duck Egg, thats just too much for me..
Haha I would have loved to have come over and help them with that pizza :)
Squid is just bland and all over the place, strange that you never tried.
For me it's frogs , bugs and meal worms.
Nothing really comes to mind. I'm a very picky eater but in the sense of food items being mixed with other food items that I wouldn't necessarily put together.
I've eaten squid and it tastes like chewy fish but i wouldn't eat a roach, id rather eat shit soup or blood soup from i think thailand or the raw guts and blood from the cows that thr tribes in africa eat 😂
I'm pretty adventurous when it comes to food of other cultures. But I won't eat anything with blood in it, like blood sausage. I hate the taste of blood.
I love squid (calamari) and snails (escargot) though.
Squash, bananas (except in bread), and most types of seafood including tuna. And I won't eat eggs any way but scrambled.
Pickles
Coleslaw
Cottage cheese
Raw fish
Oysters
Seaweed
Snail
Caviar
Sardines
Tilapia
Balut
Organs
Insects
Those squid things you basically have to swallow whole.
Organ meat.
Things that still have a chance of being alive.
Some of the answers below, make my hatred of curry (the smell makes me feel sick) seem a little lame.
Anything I consider weird. Monkey brains, octopus, alligator, squirrels, insects etc. I tried caviar though and it's delicious.
Same as you, and I'm not into seafood or anything from the water really, I tried lamb once, never would again, and probaly chicken livers or pig intestines
Same as you, i only like to eat a certain type of fried fishes and nothing else, also don't like many types of meat which are not cooked well and in my sandwich i don't like this mix of everything in...
Liver and brains. Some countries apparently think eating brains of goats or something is a delicacy, but I'll pass. I also won't try mushy foods if I don't know what's in it or anything made with mayo.
Unless I'm starving, I despise raw spinach and mushrooms. I love them when they're cooked, however.
My mom likes them in salads so...
I eat them raw. Try eatting cooked lettuce
Strawberries... as I'm deathly allergic to them.
I enjoy being alive, thank you very much!
I was born with a warning label... my birthmark is
a picture of a strawberry on the inside of my buttcrack... I saw a picture of it once... an ex took a photo of it up close so I could finally see it... I've
been told of it all my life... mom teases me about it sometimes... but until 2015, at the age of 37
(I'll be 42 on July 2nd), I had never seen it...
Then somewhere over the years, mom reminded me that being deathly allergic to strawberries is common for us Native Americans...
I won't go near a durian fruit either... I'm not eating something that smells like shit!
@DianaWest I don't mind. If you must eat a durian, please permit me a clothes pin for my nose until you finish. If you eat strawberries around me,
No Contact, no cross-contamination.
Other than that, I could care less.
A Mollusk, brains or any organs. I use to eat oysters then read about their heavy metal content and stoped eating them among other reasons.
Ya water if it's from a good source. I started switching to supplements read some stuff about how the supplements I was taking could have came from a contaminated source or could have been processed in an undesirable way. I should just farm my own food lol but who has time for that.
Best to get on top of it sooner than later so the damage is minimized down the road.
I saw the frog.
https://m.imgur.com/r/gifs/hbOP7Kr
Ya I found it after I had seen the frog neither made me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
Lol I know so was mine :).
Fish eyes, animal heads, that egg that has a bird in it...
Mushrooms!!! I hate them so much! Every time I even tried eating it or like looking at it, I threw up. :(
Salmon, beets, lobster, pickles on burgers, don't drink coffee yuck, just a lot more I'm pretty picky.
Its a lot for me mostly because I have food allergies but also because I work out a lot and I'm just not gonna put garbage in my body cause you are what you eat. So the only me I eat is chicken Turkey and fish and I eat a lot of salads
I'm probably the least picky eater I know, I say I'll try anything once (as long as it's widely considered food by a culture somewhere), but dishes where the insects, fish, whatever is still alive I think I would probably draw the line
Hi thanks for giving me a rating of 10/10 from the question two days ago (the Asian guy) . If you don't mind to make a new friend could you please send me an email?
mayyoufindjoy@gmail. com
Well. You did two days ago and said I am cute.
That was a anonymous and I deleted already because I do not like to put photos online.
Anything alive. Eyes. Probably not animal genitalia or udders. Fois gras.
Tongue, snails and squid, I've eaten.
I'm fine with just about anything, except for living foods such as drunken shrimp. Veal is also a bit iffy.
Nothing out of the Great Cesspool called the Ocean!! HATE, HATE, seafood, of any kind!!
Anything with feet or balls or nose or ear or eyes behind it
Oysters. I've never tried them but I refuse to just cause of the texture.
Onions. And most peppers. I hate hate onions but can eat it if the smell and taste are not obvious. I will brush my teeth and use mouthwash if it tastes that bad in my mouth.
