Steak: Degree of Doneness?

From rare to well done, how do you like your steak cooked? I personally enjoy a medium rare for most cuts that I eat.

I'm not a big steak fan, but probably around medium. I cannot stand well done. It has no flavor even on the rare occasion it's still juicy and not like boot leather.

I'm not a big fan of meat served by itself, though. I think the only steak I've had that I actually enjoyed and didn't think was just okay was one that had a ton of vegetables on top of it. Otherwise, I find it to be boring and mostly just taste like whatever seasoning or sauce you put on it, but never like something already good that's complimented by the seasoning/sauce.

Blue or rare. I could eat medium rare if even to me, anything more than that I couldn’t eat it. You ruin a good piece of meat if you cook it for too long

Yes but also not cooking it enough allows ecoli and salmonella to live within the center. You don’t want it raw nor over cooked.

It really depends. I mean. Most of the bacteria Is on the surface. If seared properly it becomes pretty safe to eat. As long as it’s inspected meat you’d be fine 9 times out of 10.

Rare, though that comes from being born with no iron, and thus having low iron as a kid rare meat and ovaltine were great sources of iron and i just stuck with rare and love it

Well done is not well done for me. When its rare anything I feel like meat is really chewy and fighting back. I like medium well to medium.

Not always but when I do order it I do. Pineapple with low grease meats works best.
