There are too many factors which change cooking time, it's difficult to say. My personal rule is 1 minute per 1 cm thickness of steak. 3 cm steak 3 minutes each side , 2 cm thick steak 2 minutes. However this depends on pan and fire source. More important is leaving the steak covered with a little bit butter in 80-90 C hot baking oven for 10-15 minutes. Thick steaks need this back oven treatment.

I don’t like medium well that’s hard as a rock. It’s dry. You don’t see any pink. It’s chewy. It’s absolutely destroying the steak. I like medium rare.
I like mine cooked medium rare so a 1 inch steak on the grill for 4 minutes each side with indirect heat. Steak is on middle grill with 2 side burners on but not the one under the steak
