Medium size, juicy and flavorful. No larger than a ping pong ball. Not to firm and rubbery. In fact, I kind of like them when they almost fall apart.
We're talking Italian, right? I'd probably combine ground been and Italian sausage, bread crumbs or panko, and plenty of Italian seasoning. In a tasty marinara sauce.
Now, bbb, do you like big ones? But the right size to fit in your mouth and roll around on your tongue? Firm and full of juicy goodness? Do you like the sauce and lots of it, you saucy wench?

😂🤣😂😅😹🤭🚀🧺case I am, I have always loved the seasoned Greek meatballs we had with imported Italian sausage and Southern Sicilian pasta (we didn't have the time to role our own one noodle at a time the way my stepfather's aunt's and mom did when he was growing up😫😩🥱😴💤). Those delicious Greek monsters were exactly 6 in in diameter, and had to be cut into 4 to 8 pieces depending on how big your mouth was. I like them big and tasty, and full of oregano and other Mediterranean and Ageon seasoning flavor.

Big balls tend to make everything around look tinier. Sausages look better next to average size meat balls
It really kind of depends on how you make them what do you put in yours
When I make Italian meatballs I tend to make them about 1.5 inches in diameter. I make Swedish meatballs a little smaller, about 1 inch in diameter. Other kinds I'm inclined to prefer other sizes.
Other than Swedish, I stopped eating meat balls a LONG time ago!! About the size of golf balls will suffice. However, I DO like stuffed peppers (without the peppers) and those are the size of a soft ball or bigger!
If I can cut 'em in half and half again then it's about right.
Spicy and big enough that one just fits in your mouth.

Very versatile balls for all occasionsI like mine medium size and I let them cooked through my sauce and have the sauce simmering and to make sure they are done, I take one out and test it, yes I am a tester of my cooking, LMAO but I'm a Kraft Grated Cheese junky

Bout an 1-5/16" to like 1-3/8". Never could figure out why some would have meatballs that could qualify as meatloaf's in their dishes.
