Are donuts overrated?

Depends on the donuts, but I'd say that most of the time they are overrated it is basically just bread. I really like donuts because I only get them a couple times a year so it's a little treat for me, but there used to be a local donut shop where I live and the guy that made them did such a great job that I even liked his plain donuts, no glaze or anything just the bread, it was great.

Pretty sure it is all the sugar that is added on top or inside that really adds the flavor. Except powdered sugar donuts. They just make a mess everywhere.

nah, since you add the toppings that make them more unique/tasty to you. a versatile treat that can be enjoyed by many due to this reason :)
