What's your favorite pasta shape?

I assume fresh vs dried is the subject of another debate. Fresh pasta is usually locally made with fresh ingredients unless it is destined to be shipped, in which case consideration is given to the spoilage rates of the desired ingredients such as eggs or herbs. Fresh pastas do not expand in size after cooking and also require more delicate sauces. Dried pasta can also be defined as factory-made pasta because it is usually produced in large amounts that require large machines with superior processing capabilities to manufacture. Dried pasta is mainly shipped over to farther locations and has a longer shelf life. The ingredients required to make dried pasta include semolina flour and water.
Im asking about shape
Spaghetti simply from familiarity
I like the way the Macaroni is shaped but my absolute favorite shape is the little flower shaped ones. My mom made it for me a few years ago:)
I like the extremely tiny shells. Second favorite would be the huge jumbo shells. I'm not sure why but the shells are the yummiest
Other than macaroni, that does look easy to eat. I might enjoy that too.

Depends on sauce. Spaghetti are better for tomato based sauces, for more sticky cheese-cream sauces are Penne or Rigatoni better.
I don't really have one. Pasta is pasta.. But there are specific dishes for each.
One can cook Bolognese or Carbonara with any of those pasta. So if you have to chose like if the restaurant asks you to.
No disagreement. I'm just saying that certain pasta is better suited to certain jobs. I mean you wouldn't use lasagna for an Alfredo dish, you wouldn't use rotini for a fettuccini dish.. In theory you could, it just doesn't seem right if that makes sense.
Alfredo Lasanga exist and did I even say anything about "authentic" italian restaurant which makes you think it isn't right? Also i'm talking about pasta dishes that can be any of those. But really if that's the only reason why you wouldn't order a pasta because the they let you choose, than i'd just say it's shallow. Just saying. Because you're not giving me an answer, your giving your lecture.
Missed the point entirely, you're putting words in my mouth, saying I wouldn't pick a pasta at a restaurant... You do know what assuming does don't you?
And as for pasta choice it depends entirely on the sauce and contents of the sauce.. That's why I can't choose one. I simply do not have a favorite. Now if you mentioned a sauce or type of preparation I might have an opinion.
Do your self a favor, don't assume things. It's not smart.
Also i do know that pasta is specific to what kind of dish you'd make traditionally speaking but we're living in a world where everyone is bastardizing cuisines and lots of them turns out to be way better than the traditional ones which creates the bandwagon effect whether you like it or not.
Actions speaks louder than words. I gave 2 examples yet still no answer was given. I didn't need a lecture.
Also how about you do yourself a favor and go straight to the point?
I'm not lecturing you, but you being disrespectful won't get an answer either.
As far as your two examples, depends on the carbonara or the bolognese. I personally have two dozen recipes for each, all containing different things.. I've been an Italian cook since before you were born..
Also lets pretend i really am talking about each pasta being specific to different dishes. You could've just answered the pasta dish you like the most which tends to be that kind of pasta used. It's not that hard actually.
Then i'm not being disrespectful but you're lecturing me. Easier to just claim things like that. Like I care if you're an italian cook. If you're an italian cook, you should know better
Flexing doesn't prove anything by the way. I didn't ask if you're an italian cook. I can say i'm an Italian executive chef. Stories are stories pff
