  • I think my favourite pasta shape would have the pasta bows or the farfalle as they're called in the chart! Although I love all pasta and will eat it regardless of it's shape, the bow is the most entertaining for me 😂

  • Depends on what I will eat with it. For just sauce, I prefer fusilli, for meat cubes and strips its penne, and if considerable melt cheese is involved, I go with taglietelle.

  • As a guy who cooks a lot, I don't have a real preference as long as it taste good. However my five year old daughter might. But I give the edge to lasagna cause it's easier to layer.

  • There is not just one thing that is "pasta sauce." There are MILLIONS of different recipes that include pasta, and different types of preparations taste better with certain shapes of pasta.

    I made homemade Mac N Cheese on Tuesday with a cream sauce base, used three kinds of cheese, and small shell shaped pasta. When I make homemade pesto I usually use a penne, but sometimes a linguine or fetuccini. When I make fresh alfredo, I prefer farfalle or rotini/gemeli type. Orechete is best in broth based soups. Orzo is incredible in soups, especially a greek style lemon/chicken soup, and I love it in salad. My mother-in-law's red sauce recipe is best with penne or ziti, but also excellent on spaghetti. A simple butter/garlic sauce is great on spaghetti, angel hair and wide egg noodles. I generally prefer fresh chunky sauces with vegetables over angel hair. Then of course, there's lasagne.
