What is your favorite Fall/Autumn food?

So let me just say that Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year, but I HATE pumpkin spice! 🤮🤮

I love ginger snaps and sweet potato pie. I also can't wait to make a roast in the crockpot!! I can almost smell it. Yummy 😋

First off, I just want to say I love the smell of pumpkin spice (wall plugins, candles, etc) but I don't want it in my food!!! I just like the smell of it, lol

Anyway, my favorite autumn foods are: pecan pie, hot chocolate, gumbo, taco soup, chili... any "cold weather, comfort" type food! I can't eat them when it's warm or hot out; they aren't as tasty to me then.

Omg how could I forgot hot chocolate! I love a nice steaming mug to go along with my ginger snaps.

And yes, I'm the same way. I don't too much care for most hot foods during summer. But once the crisp air of Fall rolls in, my palate changes.

Recipes I have seen for Sweet Potato Pie (which is mighty tasty!) all call for nutmeg, allspice, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla. . . same as pumpkin pie. Seeing this question makes me want to bake a sweet potato pie!

I love when all the pumpkin spice goodies come out every fall, especially the cereals that are limited editions with the pumpkin spice flavoring. I even found some frozen pumpkin waffles! One of my absolute favorites is pumpkin bread pudding. I also like pumpkin pancakes with apple syrup.
