Didn't even think about hot smoked salmon. I prefer Inupiaq style smoked Coho Salmon. They have perfected their smokehouse technique for over 8 thousand years.

Oh yeah. Cold smoked salmon is my most favorite food item of all, only tied by a really good dry cured ham (such as Jamón, Prosciutto or Bresaola).
There is a bakery place nearby that makes smoked salmon sub sandwiches, always gotta grab one (or two lol) whenever I'm out and about.
I also love smoked whole mackerel.
It's a really fatty fish, so when they smoke it the meat gets really buttery, and you can pretty much scoop it with your fingers.
I don't like hot smoked fish, it's too dry for me.
I love fish, but I think it gains an awful sawdust like texture when overcooked, I don't like dat one bit.ALL of THEM!!!
They're especially good in a custom-made Korean 비빔밥 ("bibimbap"; "BEE-bim-bap"; lit.「mixed-rice」) with extra 고추醬 ("gochu-jang"; lit.「red-chilly—paste」, though fermented) & sesame-oil!

I can imagine using them in various other dishes. I just need to make sure they're more cooked (unlike picture "A"). Otherwise, I'd have a bit of a problem eating it.I've had smoked salmon, but it always seemed dry. The only kind of smoked fish I can recall eating is lox. It's okay but I'm not a huge fan of smoke flavor. The taste/smell comes back on me for a whole day every time I burp.

I prefer deep fried walleye or crappie when I eat fish.You and I would get along just fine. I like any and all seafood, including smoked fish and especially cold smoked salmon. I cure and smoke my own because it's so expensive.

I'm not a fan of salmon but I've done smoked trout fresh from the stream.
I enjoy most smoked fish, but prefer cold smoked salmon ahead of the rest.
