Do you like smoked salmon?

Question

We got a good deal on some smoked salmon at work. Used some for catering and turned the leftovers into some mini smoked salmon, cream cheese and caper quiches. Unfortunately the pastry was cracked all the way through the roll and my patching didn't work so well on a couple quiches... oh well I get a nice lunch now 😋

Not since my iceland trip as a kid.

We originally were going to a hotel but there was a last minute issue with the booking, the agency only had a farm cottage available. My parents decided it wasn't worth cancelling the trip over. As compensation the agency paid our food, on the condition we had to order the meal of the day each day.

One time the meal was smoked salmon. Yum! I love salmon! So I bit off a large chunk. One of the most vile things i ever tasted. Couldn't manage to swallow it and spit it out. When the waitress noticed she laughed and explained. The salmon was smoked dabove "poo of sheep". A local delicacy or something.

Took me a while to like salmon again, but smoked I swore off since.

probably my third or fourth preferred way to have some salmon... either smoked or seared salmon

but as in good'ol Southern Texas is the mandate... I like it better when I just throw it on the grill

my favorite though... spicy crab/salmon cakes

I don’t really like fish, despite living on the ocean. I wish I did, it’s good for you. And I have a smoker now too, so I could make my own, haha. The reminds me that I want to get some cheddar cheese to smoke🤔

Oh yes, I love smoked Salmon, especially when it is freshly done, I do not like it being paired with cream cheese and capers, I find they sully the taste when it is sliced thinly,

I love smoked salmon. I order it from Alaska and cans and eat it directly out of the can very often. It's expensive but well worth it.
