Which would be harder for you to give up, coffee or alcohol?

I make my own coffee first thing in the morning and usually drink 48oz throughout the day. I get excellent coffee - organic, fair trade, Cafe Justo dark roast robusto. I make 24oz at a time in a French press.
I sometimes add the equivalent of a measured tsp of Equal Exchange hot coco powder to a 12oz travel mug and sometimes a couple ounces of cold milk to cool it off enough to drink.
I don't drink much alcohol but I do enjoy good red wines on occasion with dinner, at a picnic or party. But that's still only 6 or 8 times a year. A tasty mixed drink can be a treat, too.
But if I had to give up one or the other, it would be alcohol.
It wouldn't be that hard to give up either one, since I don't drink that much of coffee or alcohol. I grew up drinking tea in a "dry" house where we drank fruit juices and sparkling grape juice instead of wine, and there was no hard liquor.
I chose coffee because it's still nice to have an alcoholic drink once in awhile, even it it's only eggnog.

I'm not a big drinker of either. The closest thing I drink to coffee is coffee flavored protein shakes, which I usually take with me when I need something filling and convenient for the road. I might have an alcoholic beverage maybe a handful of times per year, and never surpass one drink when I do.
I guess if the protein shakes don't count, I'd choose coffee. If they do, I'd probably choose alcohol.
Coffee. ☕ I need my morning brew. Alcohol I can do without. I actually tried to drink some vodka mixed with lime soda water last night and I was just like... No. I took a few sips then poured it out. I can definitely do without alcohol.
but weed however? i think your username speaks for itself ;)
Coffee. Caffeine is one hell of a legal drug albeit a naturally occurring one. Too much or two little will screw up your blood pressure and give withdrawal migranes worse than a concussion will.
Alcohol, is much easier to control as its effects can be more severe and are easier to notice.
Neither.
At one time I drank alcohol daily, consuming more than a few drinks. Now I occasionally have a beer with Tex-Mex food or a glass of wine with Italian food.
For the drive to work, I'd have a 16 ounce travel mug of coffee and drink coffee all day at work. Now drink water. I have a reusable cold drink travel mug for water. I still drink a cup of coffee a couple of times a week.
I could give up both with no problem.
Coffee hands down. I rarely drink it and can't often anyway cuz it gives me panic attacks. I only drink it once in awhile if I really need the boost but then have to flush it out my system by drinking water before the shakes happen.
Would be hard to give up a good beer or monitor, especially when I eat out with my friends lol.
Coffee. I gave up alcohol years and years ago. Sometimes I miss the flavor or a good martini, IPA, or Merlot but its not so big a deal that I can't deal with it. But the flavor and aroma of coffee is a must in my life. I just bought 5 different flavors from various brands and they just got delivered to me like 2 hours ago lol.
I don’t drink coffee but I do enjoy a stiff drink or enjoying shots with great people. However I do plan to give up alcohol in my future for health reasons.
Easy for me. I gave up coffee and energy drinks last month and it wasn't that hard. I had 4 cups of black coffee and a monster a day. I collect whiskey and drink some neat pours of scotch and bourbon twice a week at most but it is my relaxation time. Caffeine as I found out was what was causing me to feel too stressed out and anxious about everything.
Giving up coffee practically means no tiramisu anymore and alcohol basically comes down to the occasional kombucha and ginger beer. I guess I could do without tiramisu the most, hah, but I have no problem giving up both.
Alcohol. I love wine. I drink it 1-5 times a month. It's a nice fun relaxed feeling. I don't drink other alcohol.
Coffee isn't good for you. So I don't drink it often. I try and stick with tea or kombucha.
I'm not giving up either🤣..
I need my coffee in the morning..
And I was never much of a drinker for the longest time... But now, I unwind with that after work drink, or glass of wine with a hot bubble bath🛀🏼🍷
Definitely coffee. I only drink when I go out. Coffee is a daily ritual.
Alcohol. I can get my caffeine from tea or supplements but to tolerate some people, I need the booze
Coffee.. I get caffeine withdrawals if I skip too many times
Alcohol but I could give up either. I regularly quit cold turkey for a predetermined number of months just to show myself I'm still in control and that I drink because I like it
Alcohol would be hardest to give up.
i do occasionally ‘need’ that release it gives.
Neither, because I haven't ever drank alcohol, and virtually never drink coffee. But asking me to give up tea is a different story! :) I love a good cup o' tea to wake me up!
I can give up both. Haven't drank coffee in years and I don't like drinking alcohol it makes me really sick, even if it's just a little bit.
For me would be coffee, because I don't drink alcohol, but I voted alcohol for someone who has an addiction.
Same here. I love coffee. I can live w/o alcohol. I really could give it up permanently if I had to.
