------ being from Northern Mexico and Texas both... everyone in my house can grill and BBQ, is just a tradition for everyone to be involved and prepared for, lol...

------ twice a week, would not be an exaggeration, I do have a small grill right off the kitchen door... which is besides the main big ass grill for bigger parties

BBQ & Grill... and Carne Asada in Mexico

@DizzyDesii yes... that's just the sense of community in some neighborhoods around here, for example... these are crowded suburbs, so people get to know each other well and for long... so it is very common to invite or share with the guests of your neighbors for example, even if you don't know them you can share with them... or bring it to their house, they do not necessarily have to come and stay with you... lol

or, at the parking lots during/before games... people just invite you over sometimes

Yea people do that here too. We’d only do it if tailgating. Houseparties and cookouts usually already contain too many mouths to feed to spare some with neighbors lmao. Plus meat is expensive af now a day

I have a pellet grill and I love it. Usually when I fire it up, it is for cooking steak. I use one of those internal thermometers to keep track of the internal temperature of the meat. However I will admit that food barbecued over charcoal tastes better though!

Traeger is a good brand. Interesting how they work. A smaller more practical size runs about $500. The pellets aren't too expensive compared to charcoal, or gas.

1. What is your favorite food from the grill? Used to be ribs but i’m cutting back on the pork (and beef ribs are just no) so i’ll say burgers is my second fave grilled item. Hot dogs are my third but once again, bye bye pork (and hell no to the beef dog).
2. What is your favorite side dish with that bbq food? Corn, peas, fries, baked beans, macaroni or dirty rice... hard to choose a fave out of mac, corn and beans

4. Who grills at your house? No one. We only eat grilled foods when at restaurants or cookouts
5. Do you grill year-round or seasonal? I dont grill but i eat BBQ year round. Most of our BBQ is oven baked meats brushed or smothered with Sweet Baby Rays or Krafts Original BBQ sauce

7. How often do you cook on the grill? I dont unless we’re talking indoor george foreman

Yes, the grill had big chrome knobs and when I went to adjust the flame I burned my hand on the knob. I saw flames coming out from behind the panel. I tried shutting off the gas but it did not work so I had to turn it off at the tank.

Damn crappy grill. It was really the only crappy thing I ever got from Sears. Te store went downhill right after that.

Maybe the Burner or the Venturi tube leading to the burner are worn out and allowed the gas to escape, causing the fire. I have to replace my burner every three years or so. The grill head itself is all cast aluminum and should last almost forever, as opposed to the stamped steel ones made these days. But the burner is another deal entirely. I clean the grill every year, scraping the accumulated grease and slime from the inside, touch-up with High-Temp Paint, as needed, clean/replace the ceramic briquettes/volcanic rock used atop the grate over the burner. After two to three years, the burner may have burned through in a place or places. You can usually tell by a misshapen flame and/or a big clump of flame at a single point, and nowhere else. The Venturi (s) connects the burner to your control (s) and is a rather fragile part. If a Venturi is broken, clogged with gunk (spiders like to live in them during the winter), disconnected from the burner, etc., it could trigger a fire. New burners run $25 to $50 (including new Venturies), while just a new Venturi tube runs $4-7 each.

@Massageman The grill was only two or three years old and it is at my vacation house so it does not get much use. I never liked this grill so I got rid of it and got a Weber. It is awesome just like the one I have at home. That is what I get trying to save a little money.

I love to barbecue because you're outside hopefully there's a good Breeze blowing but I like making salads like I like barbecue steak I like barbecue hamburgers I don't really like too many things with barbecue sauce on it but when I have steak or hamburger I make a potato salad or I'll make chicken pasta salad regular salad artichoke salad fruits and vegetables things with moisture in them I like to keep well hydrated and if you know how to set your temperatures on your gas barbecue and that turns out pretty good or if you know how to get your calls red hot and burnt up a little bit so it's not the whole piece of quartz kind of broke down burnt down enough are hickory wood is good to use to whether it be a smoker or barbecue I like to cook so it doesn't matter to me I'll cook it on Anythink
