Best BBQ you have eaten?

As a Californian BBQ enjoyer, I have to say Austin, Texas BBQ blew everyone else out of the water sorry not sorry. Special shoutout to LeRoy & Lewis.

I  LOVE  BBQ! I'm a California boy and have eaten at lots of BBQ places here over the years.  People from other parts of the country have opened BBQ restaurants here. Unfortunately, many have come and gone. When I think of BBQ, I think baby back ribs with the fixin's. Texas, Memphis, Carolina, Kansas City ribs are all different.  There's a restaurant in Bellflower, CA, called Johnny Reb's that I like a lot.  My wife is from Cincinnati (Pigopolous) were the place to go is Montgomery Ribs. It's really good but not the best I've ever had. I had some ribs in Texas when I was there once, but I haven't traveled around The South.  I can't say that I recall an absolute best BBQ I've ever had because there are lots of excellent small places that I only got to try once.

I used to eat Korean barbecue at my cousin's house with her husband and kids and parents and her husband's parents. They would coat the meat skewers in Korean barbecue sauce which made the meat taste many times better then our barbecue at our house, and when you make it on your own barbecue grill at home, its healthier then the restaurant version you get when you dine in. I used to eat similar flavours at a Chinese take out place, but it would give me sore gums afterwards because the sauce was so toxic and bad for your body. There was another Korean barbecue place 8 minutes away that does not lead to inflammation and pain but it costs 5 times more than the one that led to mouth pain. I ate there with my ex boyfriend on my birthday the year before we broke up.
