Has anyone here had whiskey in coffee?

Just wondering what the interactions between coffee and alcohol are. Does the caffeine element help you stay alert, etc.

It’s just there for the taste and great as an after meal drink.

it’s fairly common here for Irish Whisky or similar spirit in it.
It can sort of cover the depressant side of the alcohol.

it’s also a way to drink alcohol without people knowing….

Whiskey in your coffee is like putting vodka in your breakfast cereal & I would be surprised if someone out there already tried it. Talk about a pick me up.

I don’t like whisky cause it’s too strong but bailies Irish creme coffee is something I’ve enjoyed.

I have and it just warms you up in the winter and a little honey with it is really good.

I sometimes have an Irish Coffee, that's a regular coffee with a shot of Irish Whiskey in it. The usual coffee effect is still there, and the alcohol adds a slight buzz, as well as slightly sweetening the taste.

I love Irish coffee, but after an evening meal. I guess it keeps me perky.

I used to mix vodka and CocaCola and it made me a wide awake drunk. I imagine whiskey and coffee would do the same.

That's just known as Irish Coffee! I never had it but my g/f loves it.

I've had whiskey, rum, creme de cocoa, creme de banana, Bailey's Irish Creme... mostly at different times, mind you. It all tastes great, depending on your mood. I think the caffeine is somewhat offset by the alcohol and gives a mellow buzz...

Would never combine alcohol and coffee. Don’t see why anyone would. Seems like a contradiction to me.

Yea its called irish coffee. Its pretty good. There is also White Russians (with Vodka)
