Why are we so relying on formulas?
what did people do before? can we just go back to baby food before they invented formula for working mothers?

I was terrible at nursing both babies … they did get 3-4 months of breast milk…
they had some formula, they also had some home made baby food.
they seem to be growing as crazy as me 🤪

my little sister is nursing her new born … prob don’t need formula.
do I trust? Sure… I still buy/eat food coming from China.
Food (products) coming from China are mostly westerners using China to produce their goods. Soooo… who should hold accountable for quality control?

Depends who is in charge. If I am paying someone to do something for me, I sure will be there to supervise. When it comes to globalization, things are not as black and white when decisions are done behind closed doors. buyer beware?
One other thing … we are so brain washed that it’s easier to point fingers at … it’s coming from China. Anyway… I hope we can learn from all this…but I am not optimistic.

I didn't feed formula to any of my babies. China was caught using melamine as a filler in baby formula 18 or 20 years ago. 💀

I was actually looking into this, not because we have to worry about it, we have a freezer full of my wife's breast milk for our baby, but because it will hurt a lot of people and trigger panic buying in other places.

You can still order formula from the EU, apparently that became popular the last time the FDA had a fuck up with formula, and though it's illegal, no one does anything to stop it.

Pretty much the only thing Enfamil has to say about an overseas competitor is hey, they aren't overseen by the FDA, it could be stored improperly, and you won't know if there's a recall.

The formula shortage is scary. I had to supplement my oldest with formula while I was at work because I could not pump enough. I would do what I needed to do to feed my child. I still feel guilty I had to feed him formula. Which I semi made up for by donating over 2,000 oz of breastmilk with my second child who never had an ounce of formula.


Parenting is hard enough. Moms don’t need guilt trips about the sacrifices they make to feed their babies.

My mom never fed me formula. I was breastfed until I was 6 months old. She started solids right after she stopped breastfeeding.


I am not a mother yet and probably won't be for a couple more years. When I do become a mother, I will do proper research and give my baby only the best.

WE did not feed our kids any formula. It was better for the babies and we saved a ton of money.

My mum didn’t feed us (my brother and I) formula either. However, some people choose to feed their kids formula and that’s alright. Mother’s milk has tons of nutrients and provides immunity to the baby

Well, people, especially in America have no problems with eating/drinking other things that have God-know-how-much chemicals, so I believe most would not mind it.

As for me - no. It's more for women but I'm not a fan in overall. Besides I read that my country stopped importing such things from China in 2008 after it was discovered to be poisonous.

This is why I breastfeed and donate milk. If I had to use formula I'd maybe just try finding a donor instead of using formula.

I believe it is safe. If it isn't safe, it probably can't be imported. Furthermore, manufacturers don't sell unsafe products because that is bad for business.
