Have you ever heard of apple custard 🍎? Would you try it 🤪?

Custard apple = type of fruit.
Apple custard = tart, buttery, sugary spread or filling. Made from actual apples, not the custard apple, which, according to the internet, apparantly tastes like custard naturally?
I've not tried either though.
Never heard of or seen that and I've lived in Asia. Is it an African fruit?
Never been there either.
I've heard of them yes, and I'm always open to trying new things.
Not heard of it. I’ll ride down and grab some for everyone.
@joygirl Give me a couple weeks. I’ll be back. 🏍💨

never seen one of those before, lol... do you know if they are tasty sweet, sour? they taste similar to something else?
oh, that's interesting... maybe it could work on some custard apple's custard pie...
I think I had that during a vacation and I loved it - tastes amazing but expensive and very little edible flesh in comparison to what you throw out and also goes bad fast and that is why it’s rarely sold.
It is one of my favorite fruits. It's actually called a custard apple not apple custard. We also call it sugar apple. It likely has other names since it grows in many countries.
I do t think I have ever heard of it… is it good? Lol! I mean I would be willing to try it. But I’m curious.
We have this fruit in our backyard. All season, 24*7.
Its a good fruit, to be honest.
Reallly? Because usually the season is so short. I am now super intrigued about where you live?
@DermalPunch We call it 'Sitafal' in mother tongue (Sugar Apple).
I think it is because of my dad, that there are fruits available all the year round. We have Guava. Oh it is this fruit that is available all year round. We are just fed up with it!
I am really sorry. I got confused. It is that we also have another fruit we call 'Ramfal'(Ramfal). And I looked it up. What our asked is talking about is Custard Apple. We also have it in limited season too. We have trees of it in our backyard. 3 trees are there I think. It is a rare fruit, to be honest. Expensive in the market.
The Sugar Apple that I mentioned before is available for longer season, but not year long.
Sorry for the mistake. It is just that I mistook the image for Sugar Apple rather than Custard Apple.
I did not know it grew year round where you are. Sick of guava... NEVVEEERRR!
@DermalPunch I am from the state of Maharashtra, India. I think they have a peak season too, but the trees in our backyard just give out the guavas all year round.
I haven't heard of it but yeah, I'd try it. Sounds interesting.
😅 we call it reversed - custard apple.
I have tried it. It's okay. Not particularly tasty when compared to other fruits 😅
What? Not tasty? What? Mmmkkaaay.
They look interesting. How do they taste compared to common apples?
