It just always looked so strange. I hated the word and only in recent years realized it was just corn bread around a hot dog. 🤣

I loveee both, but together? Mmm neh. I wouldn’t want a sweet tasting hotdog or a hotdog that dried up my entire mouth lol I think you could die from that if you’re not careful! Lmfao

I’ll just stick to regular hotdogs and regular corn bread, for now 😋👌

Welp, it's State Fair time in Texas and corny dogs have always been a staple of the fair. For me they're ok, but the freshly made ones are far superior to anything frozen.
They'll batter and fry anything at the fair though. One year they had "fried beer" so...

I don’t think I’ve had a corn dog before but here we have “hot dogs” which are deep fried sausages and I hate those. We also have “American hot dogs” which is just your standard frankfurter in a bun with sauce and cheese

well these are hot dogs on a stick that have been breaded. usually you dip them in condiments like ketchup.

and in korea they have different kinds they make there like in the 2nd pic above. they can be tasty

I see, I have had a corn dog then, we just call them hot dogs here. But they’re battered and deep fried on a stick and you eat them with tomato sauce

They’re ok once in a while. Once in a while I whip some up for kids, and serve them with a Dijon mustard and brown sugar sauce or a bacon and onion marmalade
