This includes paying for the whole meal as well as you splitting the bill. Dinner could be street tacos, a fancy sit down restaurant or coffee at Starbucks.

What Girls Said
Yep! I absolutely paid on our first date. I was the one that asked my now fiancé out, so I thought it was appropriate to pay.
It wasn’t without a struggle though. The thing is that he is what I call a classic gentleman who thinks it is the guy’s responsibility to pay on a date. It actually came up during our first date. I had mentioned that it was my treat. He said there was no way that I was paying.
Soooo, I had to excuse myself towards the end of lunch to “use the washroom” and on the way back give our server my credit card and tell her under no circumstances was my lunch guest to pay the bill.
That was the extent of sneakiness I had to go to just to pay for our lunch. In the end, he laughed at my tactic and bought me dinner later that week. What a guy 🙂
I've never been on a first date where I didn't. I've also never been asked out by a woman.
I think it is uncommon for the girl to ask. Due to the circumstances around our meeting each other, I had to be the one that asked him out.
I hope this doesn't come off badly but I've broken off relationships when it seemed the woman I was dating was more interested in my wallet than my heart.
That doesn’t come off bad at all. If you get that sort of feeling, you should break it off. It is wrong to date someone to get free meals or whatever else.
I do regret two dates I went on; one especially; where I should have left but didn't.
Yeah
Did you offer first?
Yeah
That was nice of you
Yeahh
You seem nice and I'm open to having a real conversation but I get the sense your not interested

While I have no idea what that means I'll take it as a no
