The bland cuisines but something in it those we can appreciate. I won't be surprised if Italian wins in the poll. However, i think Spanish is the best one then Greek comes close. Italian would've been the best for me but it's only the Pizza that makes it good in my opinion except I'm not a fan of the rest of it tho. I think Pizza is the best European food but that's not what Italian cuisine is all about.

m +1 yAll of these cuisines have awesome dishes. Pressed to choose only one, I picked Spanish, because of their variations in paellas.

@sage2021 Yes, they claim everything I listed and I have no reason to argue with them. Greece is European enough to me...
Truth is I was grating Gruyere, Ricotta and Feta, chopped up the spinach, and phyllo out on the counter. 14x10 pyrex baking dish was all washed and set... IT was really good and 3 days of "vegetables"

@Aiko_E_Lara England's had curry since before fish and chips were invented. We do occasionally eat faggots. (It's not what you're thinking, no wood is involved.)
That's got to be a Scottish menu, Poppy? - +1 y
We've had curry since the middle ages. Yes it's Scottish.
- +1 y
Curry doesn't represent British cuisine as a whole tho.
- +1 y
Curry is huge part of the British diet, its embedded in our culture. Given the amount we go through and restaurants we have its very much a British dish now
- +1 y
Yes you can and easily too lol.

Huge but that's not the only food in the cuisine. Just like the pizza example in my description, i would have say italian cuisine would be the best but it's only the pizza that i like which doesn't represent italian cuisine as a whole even if it's a big part of the cuisine. Cuisine is a variety of food not one food
- +1 y
That lists funny

@NewYorkCity thanks!

A few years ago I read the "forme of cury" a 12th century cookbook http://public-library.uk/pdfs/1/611.pdf Asian spices were heavily used throughout.

+1 yI love Jimmy the Greek in Canada but their portions are always too tiny to satisfy me so I order from Thai express instead. I visited a Greek buffet for a birthday one time and loved the food. But I voted Italian cause I love tomato based foods.
10 Reply Although I am from India, I have read various cooking books from all over the world, including old Latin and English. Most of the modern cuisines from different countries of Europe are derived from those recipes with little alterations and modern availability.
I can say French cuisines and cookings are more elegant in nature. I really like the idea of hors d'oeuvre.

+1 yFrench, you cannot beat their menu. They have more to offer to different classes. French cuisines are able to give everything for everyone. Starting from dirt poor people and ending with billionaires.

However, for the sake of voting, I voted for Italian above.

This question is for you then What's the best SouthEast Asian cuisine? ↗ But im specifying on that southeast region since Asia is such a big continent.
Not sure about cuisine, but I know the Netherlands has the best snackaroonies
10 ReplyThe best pizza I had outside of the North End in Boston was a little pizza shop owned by a Greek man. Only quality Mediterranean ingredients.

+1 yFunny that someone is ignorant of a cuisine can call it 'bland'. French is generally thought to be some of the best food in Europe.
034 Reply- +1 y
It is indeed bland due to the lack of sodium and spices Europeans use compared to Asian, African, Caribbean, Latin American and Middle Eastern cuisine. Mainly because many spices don't grow in Europe and they don't practice seasoning their food so much because they don't live in hot environment that makes food spoil so easily. So yeah it is in fact bland and you should know that if you're not ignorant. And if you get so triggered over it, since when did I say because their food is bland, it's automatically bad?
- +1 y
I'm not triggered, I'm calling out your ignorance. It's a dumb as someone saying "I don't like sushi, I don't eat raw fish"
- +1 y
"French is generally thought to be some of the best food in Europe." According to French and other neighboring White people or Americans on a diet.
- +1 y
yeah, you don't need to go full retard.
- +1 y
Again if you're not ignorant, then how come you don't know about those I said? Maybe you're not ignorant. You're delusional.
- +1 y
Lmao. I do know about the foods you said. But I'm not stupidly going to go 'hrr drr white people don't season their food" That's the weakest shit you can pull.
- +1 y
Then if you're not weak, how about you give a proper counter argument? Because i can easily argue at your level at any point. I can just call you a retard and call it a day. Is that how it works?
- +1 y
oldeuropean-restaurant.com/.../ This does make sense by the way. Unless you believe climate is the same everywhere like flat earthers thinking earth is flat.
- +1 y
Thanks for posting an article that proves my point. It exactly says that if you're ignorant, it's easy to think European food is bland. "think" being the key word, there. So where does the Vietnamese Banh Mi get inspiration from? Since you are claiming Asian food is superior to European food.
- +1 y
Ok where did i say that Asian food is superior? You must be hallucinating. The Banh Mi maybe a french influence but that alone doesn't represent vietnamese cuisine as a whole FYI. Anyways, if you say it prove your point then maybe it prove your point of you being ignorant because again you still haven't given a single counter argument to anything i said. Forget the climates, forget the spice and seasoning exclusivity and where it originated, as long as you say we are ignorant, it makes you automatically right. Then fine, i call you ignorant and i am correct. Now what?
- +1 y
So if the keyword is "think", i don't even think you are thinking better than anyone publishing those articles because they still made better sense than your rant. They are not someone like you would just call someone ignorant for not agreeing with your delusions.
- +1 y
Right, so you start off with some stupid question having no clue what European food even is and make statements as if they are fact. GTFOH.
- +1 y
Maybe it's because they are facts and you need to go back to your safe space and let the grownups talk if you can't handle the truth
- +1 y
Yes, it's a fact you are ignorant.
- +1 y
And in fact you're very delusional. You can't even prove it
- +1 y
I proved it,. You think the sum of Italian food is pizza. You started off some dumbass question and now are trying to pull out some sort of victory.
- +1 y
That's become italian food is not all about pizza but there are more to it which in my opinion i'm not a big fan of. Maybe you're not reading or you're just blind. You don't even explain how you proved it well i prove my point explaining the different climates and what makes the people's culture. You however have nothing to prove.
- +1 y
You posted an article that specifically said people “think” European food is bland but it isn’t. You also admit you have no concept of most European foods, which is why you’re ignorant.
- +1 y
That still doesn't remove the fact that Europe doesn't have the amount of spices asia and other continents have. You don't like to call people ignorant and and call yourself right. Which is why i said forget the climates, forget the cultures, my researches don't matter at this point because i can easily just call you ignore run and call it a day
- +1 y
That still doesn't remove the fact that Europe doesn't have the amount of spices asia and other continents have. You don't like to call people ignorant and and call yourself right. Which is why i said forget the climates, forget the cultures, my researches don't matter at this point because i can easily just call you ignorant and call it a day
- +1 y
That doesn’t mean their food is bland, you dope.
- +1 y
https://youtu.be/E1mMgwp7iaE i'm just going to post it here. I've seen this video long ago and one reason why Europe likes to conquer the south and other continent is because they want those spices but i know you're just going to choose to be ignorant. While they may be successful at conquering different southern countries, they still couldn't grow it in their contintinent. Its a fact.
- +1 y
So you’re going to change the subject because you are starting to realize your whole question is dumb
- +1 y
Then how do you even describe bland? Because that is also the opposite of salty which also in fact they don't use as much salt. Again though, when did i say it is bad? Are you on drugs hallucinating?
- +1 y
And what is ironic is you like to change the subject by just trying to dismiss the argument by calling people ignorant while you yourself haven't explain how it isn't bland. So are you a hypocrite?
- +1 y
Because i see you like to focus on the person you're talking to but you don't focus on actually elaborating the subject.
- +1 y
I've stated it already. You choose to ignore the facts isn't my problem.
- +1 y
Just like how you choose to ignore the fact that European food is bland. Of course it's your problem because you just get butthurt over that fact.
- +1 y
lol, but it's not a fact. Under any metric. It's your ill-informed opinion.
- +1 y
It's also your opinion saying it's not a fact. Again, i'll just argue at your level at this point so forget all those facts i presented and just call you delusional anytime i want like what you do.
- +1 y
You don't have facts. Remember that.
- +1 y
You don't have facts to prove me wrong and you have to remember that
- +1 y
Here's the proof
www.escoffier.edu/.../ - +1 y
And in that case the articles i have presented are also proof
