YESSSSSS. Mostly when I was younger, it was normal to put a sugar coating on pure cream... the one that would collect at home by boiling milk. Yummmmm.
I have also tried with butter. Not as good but it would serve the purpose if you felt like it. With age, I lost interest in sweet things.
... by the way... cream with untoasted bread. Butter with toasted.
Not really, but I used to make cinnamon toast as a kid, and that's just butter, sugar, and cinnamon on toast. And of course, we only ate that one layer at a time rather than trying to make a sandwich out of it.
After the banana sandwiches, now the sugar sandwiches?
Thesis: All of your posts about foods are a government experiment to understand how durable the human stomach is.
Proof: There is no other logical explanation.
Actually, single slices or open-faced rolls with butter & sugar toasted in the toaster oven.
My grandma and my mom used to serve us that as a treat when we were kids.
We were always hyper after a slice or two.

Not exactly. I luv’d making cinnamon toast when i was young and sometimes i’d make a cinnamon toast sammich.
I also made Ally Sheedy’s diabetes sammich from “The Breakfast Club” once. Not a fan…. of the sandwich! The movie is one of my favorites!
No, I have not. It almost reminds me of how Australians have fairy bread. I did however used to make honey sandwiches and strawberry jamwiches when I was little (3-5 years. old).
I got in trouble for something as a kid and my mom said she’d give me butter sandwiches all week. Monday, butter sandwich. Tuesday, butter sandwich with sugar. Wednesday, bologna. Then we were fine again
Yeah, I'd do that as a kid with either sugar or cinnamon sugar. Once the butter and sugar were on the bread I would sometimes roll it up and start eating it from one end.
Fun fact: the word "sugar" is the only word in English that starts with "su-" and makes the "sh" sound, at least I'm pretty sure.
Okay I’m going to have to ask you to put down that loaf of bread and back away slowly 😅😂
This is insane!
I mean I’ve had questionable sandwiches but this cannot be a thing.
Yep! Back in the 90's in Iraq, war changed things back then.
No it sounds disgusting, it’s up there with crisps, chips, bacon and sausages. All are disgusting.
When I was young, but mostly including cottage cheese.
No, that poverty food isn't for me... bread and butter pudding or bread pudding were as close as I got to putting sugar and bread together
My father used to make me them with brown sugar as a small child…
Damn I heard of sugar water but sugar sandwich? Shit must be tight
And by ‘tight’ I mean financially
As a child, yes. I preferred Romain lettuce with vinegar and sugar though
My mother used to make these but also used cinnamon with the sugar.
My grandpa used to make me sugar sandwiches. Haven't had one since I was a child, though.
Yes - our mom used to mix up brown sugar with nice rich butter, all into a spreadable paste that would melt on very nice breads and it was great! I’ve done it and added some drops of real pure molasses.
Not sandwich but toasted bread, butter and sugar. Yes please!
Even can add cinnamon if you want a little bit of spice.
It's fun to try.
Works best with plain-old-white-bread.
Stay away from whole-grain-bread for this experiment. :-)
Have eaten several when I was younger and more active. That was when I could eat anything and not gain weight! Now I would probably go into shock from the sugar!
I often have a mayonnaise sandwich, which is the same thing since Mayonnaise is mostly sugar.
it isn't that common for me but if felt like one I would.
What's next? French toast sugar sandwich?
Actually that works, especially if you pepp up the egg mix with pudding spice
That sounds to me like diabetes.
Just toast both sides and you have a halfway recipe to French toast.
Absolutely yes.
Gross and noooo !!
My grand ma ma would make those for us to warm our bellies when it got cold.
Sure have, it's been a long long time ago
😂 wtf thanks for that poll option
I have when I don’t have lunch meat
this picture hurts... lmao
Lol no, never had one.
yes but it's actually cinnamon sugar
Yes. Not on typical bread though.
Yes when o was a kid with peanut butter.
you mean followed with a double dose of insulin?
i feel cavities coming if i have one…
no. I've had it with pancakes though.
No, and that doesn't sound good.
Not sugar, but I’ve had cinnamon toast
No thanks. It doesn't appeal to me
Ahh…(looking at obesity and diabetic stats)
I hate how ameriganos eat
Cinnamon and sugar toast. Not just sugar.
Hahah yes
