Do you use a spoon or a knife to get out the PB & Jelly/Jam from the jar?

When you grab PB, Jelly/Jam or both do you use the knife to get them out or use the spoon? Of course, we all know you still need a knife to spread it. Unless it's a dinner roll or you just want to eat a jar of goobers.

I use individual spoons for the jam and peanut butter. Easier to get it out to spread on the bread with the knife for me. Plus, then when I'm done with the peanut butter spoon, I can lick it off (my favorite part). I also lick off the knife once I'm done too.

I usually use a spoon although a knife can also work. I use the spoon for spreading also! I use the spoon "upside down" in other words the stuff is not in the cup of the spoon but the opposite side, which actually makes spreading easier. It is just a habit I got in bc my grandma told me to do it that way and she wouldn't tell me wrong!!

Butter knife for the peanut butter, and a squeeze bottle for the jelly. Instead if spreading the jelly with a knife, I just squeeze a trail big enough for the sandwich. When my peanutbutter is too empty for a knife, but not completely empty, I use a spoon to scoop it out, but then a knife to get it out the spoon

I do have a set of spreaders for these things...

it does kill my soul a bit, every time someone just grabs a spoon or a knife... lol

I selected spoon and most of the time that is what I use. But, sometimes I go rogue and just use the knife. Drives Mrs. Snow and the Snow Flakes NUTS (pun intended).

Knife, so that I can then add it to the bread. A spoon wouldn’t make sense.

I use two small silicone spatulas, one for each jar so I don't get PB in the J or vice versa.

Knife. With a spoon it gets all stuck on the spoon and then you have to get it off with a knife anyway to spread it. Makes no sense.
