Going out to dinner with friends?

A couple of friends invite you out for dinner. But you are extremely picky and don't find anything on the menu to eat. Do you sit there and look dumb or get something you'll never eat and suck it up

I would eat the most appetizing option out of what they have, I have eaten food I did not like at restaurants like Boston Pizza cause I could not find stuff I liked. Back than all their meat was pork but I think now they have non pork options.

Like others have commented, I'd pick the most appetizing of the options.

If your pickiness stems from something other than dietary or religious reasons, I'd further suggest expanding your palate, as picky eaters (aside from the reasons mentioned) can be seen as childish.

Get the thing that is the least objectionable to you and pick at it a little. :) Soup. Salad. Bread. Something.

i wouldn't be in this situation because if i can't find anything on the menu before even leaving my house, i will not go. this happens when you're vegetarian, you really have to prepare. i'd like an actual meal, not just random side dishes.

That happens to me sometimes. I usually find something, but I'm always judged. Maybe I should skip what I like and order something similar to other people and just move it around on my plate. I don't know what's better.
