if you want to be sure, just look at them and smell them and if the smell how they supposed to smell and you don't see any mold, take a bite and if this still tastes good, its safe to eat.

The best before date is basically saying they're fresh to sell up to thst date it's not an expiry date. There's ot much to spoil in most Danish pastries with the exception of the ones made with cream cheese but there is so much sugar mixed into it I doubt it would go bad as sugar like salt is a preservative that is why they are both used in curing. They may be getting stale but I doubt I'd be afraid to eat them
