What is the best Hotel breakfast you ever had?

I have hobby now, testing hotel break-fast buffets. Hoping to get my article on a magazine before 2024. Anyways I have been in 10 different buffets but only few of them have signature tastes that stand out the crowd.

As a reader, what would you expect me to focus on in my article?

One that I remember was at the Boar's Head Hotel in Virginia.

Two halves of an English muffin, toasted. On one was a delicious crab cake topped with hollandaise sauce. On the other was a filet mignon topped with bernaise sauce. The generous crab cake was perfectly seasoned. Both the crab cake and filet fit the English muffins perfectly. Everything was made to perfection. You could cut the filet with a fork and the home made sauces were exquisite.

The view from the dining room was idyllic.

Another was at a bed and breakfast in Eureka, Ca. I think what she did for each serving was put a piece of bread in the bottom of a ramiken bowl and then fill it with a mixture of veggies and pieces of ham mixed with egg. Then baked them. When finished, she turned over the bowl onto a plate, buttered the bread, which was now on top, and broiled it just long enough to toast the top of the bread like French toast. The whole thing held it's shape like a thick cylinder. There were a variety of jams or maple syrup to select from for a topping. OMG! So good.

Ohh , I've had some rippers ,

My best , there are two I love here in Thailand , Kata Beach resort Phuket , brilliant variety , virtually all you can imagine , and Hopetown hotel in Bangkok , love em both , with the breakfast being a big part of me booking.

I lived in Bangkok and the food there is better than here in Finland where everything is so expensive.

Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego - but that is really sort of a special brunch. Not sure they are still doing it.

Otherwise, Park Hyatt Shanghai.

Porridge and cereals
Fruit and yoghurt
Cooked full English
Continental breakfast
Toast and preserves

It was just after my restaurant days so I probably ate 3,000-4,000 calories in a sitting

I’ve stayed at super 8 hotel in Colorado and got up early. Just to go to the lobby for breakfast and made myself some waffles 🧇 ☕️ 🥛.

When i was on my honeymoon we stayed at a place that made the best breakfasts. Pancakes, eggs , bacon, ham, anything you wanted. It was really good.
