Is it ok to drink red wine by the pint or only white?

What do you mean "drink it by the pint?" Drink it a pint at a time? It doesn't matter if it's red or white. You drink whichever wine you prefer or that you think matches up with the dish you're eating.
One serving of alcohol is as follows: 12 ounces of beer, 5 ounces of wine, and 1.5 ounces of liquor (a shot). So a pint, or 16 ounces, would be three glasses of wine, plus 1 ounce.
Doesn't matter much about red or white. It's the alcohol content. These amounts are for 5% alcohol beer, 12% wine and 40% liquor. If the alcohol content is higher, you should consume less of whatever you're drinking. Usually red wine's alcohol content is a percentage point or two higher than white. A lot of white is 10-11%. Port is a fortified wine and might be 15-20 % alcohol. Dark beers have 12% alcohol content. Read labels.
The new recommendations for alcohol consumption per week are 5 units: meaning five of any of the above per week. So, if you drink a pint of red or white wine, you've done 3 units at one sitting, leaving 2 units, or two glasses for the rest of the week. And remember alcohol is empty calories. No nutrition. Beer is 156 calories, wine 124, alcohol 96 per serving. Five servings of beer is 780 calories; wine 624; alcohol 480.
Four weeks of 5 units of beer is about a pound of extra calories a month. Unless you need to gain 12 pounds a year, watch that alcohol consumption! Cheers!!
It's not a common practice to drink red wine by the pint as it is usually served in smaller quantities like a glass or two. Red wine has a stronger, bolder taste than white wine which is why it's usually consumed in small amounts. White wine, on the other hand, has a lighter taste and is refreshing which is why it's commonly consumed in larger quantities. Additionally, white wine is usually served chilled which makes it a great drink for hot summer days. It's important to note, however, that excessive drinking of any type of alcohol can have negative health consequences, so it's important to drink in moderation.
When my SO and I go out, she prefers red and I prefer white... of course, the choice should depend on what you're eating. A typical bottle of wine is 750 ml, which is four pours (glasses) of wine. If we get a bottle, it's almost always red... to satisfy my SO, and we each have two glasses. Some restaurants sell wine by the half bottle (275 ml, two pours), in which case I get my white and she gets her red, two glasses each. Or, we each buy a glass of wine (not all restaurants do that) to get what we each want.
A pint of red wine can be a great accompaniment to melons, boobies, tits, milkers, chesticles, honkers, bazoombas, coconuts, fiery biscuits, cantaloupes, boom booms, or jugs and all should be consumed in large quantities. You'll know you've had enough when you can't remember when exactly you gave consent for those cat flaps to film a porno on your bed with two guys who have larger penises than you.

Hi, little Popcee, that's very simple, all the false fucks are into slimming and shit. So they only eat white meats like fish and chicken etc. these days and therefore no scope for red wine. But they are all fucking fakes, like they will have a diet soda and then have a bitch-load of salad dressing which has more calories than can be counted. That's why they remain fat fucks.
But wine is a fuckall booze, too much work for little to no buz. Nothing beats scotch and water, ( very little water). In most of my boozing days I could not afford soda, and in time I just got use to it.
I know nothing about wine or beer or its measuring amounts and I once asked for alcohol at a fish and chips shop thinking I was getting a regular glass and they gave me this humongous portion that was way bigger than what I wanted. I did not want to waste it since I paid for it so I forced it down slowly but was miserable cause the excessive drinking made me depressed.
Pintglass is a little bit unelegant, because there are proper wine glasses for 0,5l white dessert wines. However those don't fit in dishwasher like much more compact 0,5l beer glasses. Red wine is generally heavier than white wines and white wines cause weaker hangovers according to some wine """experts""" in my family.
I use proper wine glasses for white wines but I put often ice cubes into white wines or sparkling wines because I like it cold to meals
We had a guy at the golf club who used to order " a pot of Port " ( pot in Aussie is like a pint ) , doesn't seem socially acceptable with red for some reason , I couldn't do it , but I'm a white wine guy really.
Two pints of wine of any color are around 10 international units of alcohol which is an insane amount in one day especially for a woman. I do not know what's acceptable in the UK, but for humans in general this kind of intake is an issue.
Red should be served in a litre stein. I thought you'd know that...
Not sure. But both red wine and white wine are good choices. Just like how purple grape juice and white grape juice is.
I rarely drink white wine. Give me a bold red. And I often order a bottle to share when I'm with someone.
Because red wine is usually more expensive, and higher content. On the flip side, you never see people drinking cider in shot glasses either!
Wine by the pint?
I do hope you're seriously, seriously joking @purplepoppy darling.
It's less expensive to have them leave the bottle.🤔👌
I don't see that. I see people drinking red all the time.
lol I drink so infrequently that if I downed a pint you'd have to scrape me off the floor.
You can drink whichever wine you want in whatever quantities you want.
Pint? Ha! Drink It Out Of The Bottle.
Wine is good. But sweet causes headaches
I don't drink wine
