Should I lie about work history/performance? Like should I lie to the question have you ever quit a job without giving advance notice?

If you put them on your resume, I’d go in and talk to them in person and sincerely apologize and let them know you’re looking for a job and maybe not mention that if they call for a reference. And I’ve never been asked that question in an interview. I’d be somewhat transparent around the question so you’re not lying. For example: you can say “I left for personal reasons” and leave it at that. Don’t lay all your cards on the table, then change the subject.. keep talking about yourself

If you do mention you were “let go” (which is not such a horrible thing), let them know you know you made a mistake and own up to them and learn from them

But also be careful about how serious the lie is…because oftentimes, the lie will end up coming out. Just be careful.
