Do you like food delivery services?

Services like Uber eats or Door Dash? What’s your opinion on them? Is it worth it? Or would you prefer to get the food yourself?

Sacked a guy because on the tracker he 'wasn't at the pick up' when in reality the pick up was delayed and he was moving out of the way of other drivers who did have orders ready to go.

No conversation about it, just instant dismissal and no listening to reason.

If you don't know why uber is bad then you don't know anything about taxis.

I have used some of these services before, thats how i know but I won't be using them again, they aren't quite Disney levels of evil, but they are most certainly evil.

I usually do pick up at the store but there are exceptions. I do food delivery when I have big orders that would be a hassle to carry myself, when the grocery delivery company gives me a discount, or when the place I want to order from is difficult to find or access by parking. Like I wanted a bubble tea shop and my dad and I searched for 50 minutes in the plaza the map said it would be in and we could not find it. So if I want tea from that place I will do delivery.

i like the service but the only thing worth ordering is pizza... suddenly everything is expensive eg a big mac costs 7 dollars then you get fries that's another 5 dollars plus the fees

Many hand make light work when it comes to work however when it comes to food too many hands spoil the gravy. As for me if I’m hungry & I don’t feel like cooking I pick up the phone & call in my order & pick it up myself. As for food the less people handling my food the better & safer as well.

No because it could be expired food. They just find the first thing they see right in front of everything and everybody’s had their hands on it. I like to get my food in the back of the shelf and check the date. Make sure it’s fresh that hasn’t been manhandled. For example, chips in the first row have you ever noticed that the chips are all split up and are broken like crumbs when you have bought them that’s because everybody looks at them and handles it in front of the Row

Delivery services are convenient, especially when things were bad during the pandemic. In general I prefer to get it myself though. The delivery services take part of the profits from the businesses and I'd rather support my local restaurants.

I use door dash all the time. But if you have a car then it’s really such a waste of money. You can get the same food for 1/3 of the price if you just drive and get it.

We always go get the food ourselves. My SO and I take turns. The places are pretty close to where we live, no more than 10 minutes away by car.
