I dont eat pancakes. My cinnamon waffles (the only type of waffle i care for) has to be kinda burnt and crispy. If its soggy, I’ll lose my appetite

[CuriousJC]

I like crispy edges on pancakes I don't know why but they taste much better. There used to be a restaurant in Brooklyn that sells pancakes the size of dinner plates. I only went there four times in my life. And I couldn't finish after the third pancake. These pancakes are so damn big they would literally feel you up for breakfast lunch and dinner that's how big they were.

[bolverk]

Never liked either while I live in the US, I grew up with the much thinner pancakes over here in the UK, which are similar to French Crepes which are served with either savoury or sweet filling.
The American version are too heavy for me, especially for breakfast.

[PBandJ_Nerd]

Either way. As long as I can cut them and enjoy with syrup & butter, good enough for me. Even better if they have fruit, chocolate chips, and whipped cream.

[strateguy632]

like toasted waffles, sometimes too hard to cut, just lean until it cracks and syrup flew !

[PBandJ_Nerd]

@strateguy632 Yeah. That's one thing I dislike about waffles is they're too hard to cut. Pancakes aren't ever hard though because they soften up with butter and syrup nicely.

I like crispy edges but am not that particular. My wife, on the other hand, loves crispy edges and sometimes doesn't even eat the centers. At restaurants, she'll specify crispy edges. LOL

[nolabels]

Soft and fluffy pancakes for this guy.

My wife says that baking powder is the magic ingredient to add to have the fluffiest pancakes.

[musicbrain5]

I don't like when they're crispy. I like a nice, fluffy edge.

[mandyfire98]

[NYCQuestions1976]

No crispy edges. Crispy pancakes are better known as toast.

[DaBiggestBird]

As long as they’re brown and aren’t built like a wheat cracker then either is fine.

[HeartFullOfGlue]

I find that pancakes with a more crisp edge has a bit more flavor

[collie22]
