We had a Granny Smith tree in the backyard. My brother taught me to grab the salt shaker and climb the tree and salt and eat the apples. SOOO delicious. More than a few times mom would come home and make dinner and tell us to go to the tree and bring the salt shaker back inside.
Granny Smith for me, please.

Pink Lady.
Slightly tart, deliciously light and crispy, with a honey-like subtle sweetness.

They're hard for me to get though. Rarely will I find them, especially nowadays.

I used to like Pink Lady but it's hard to get good ones since Brexit.
