Using a PC at the time (which was still a $3000+ purchase), I felt like Gary Seven on the Star Trek episode "Assignment Earth" who, looking down at the traffic and people of 1968 NYC says to his cat:

"You're right, Isis. It is primitive. It's incredible that people can exist like this. At least we won't have to. Not for long. Computer on."

Of course it was more expensive, that's the margin you can have when you have something that what else has: the best, by far.
