How do you get on first name terms with the bar staff?

I hate addressing bar staff as "Oi, you!" How do I get the secret info I need? At the moment I'm calling everyone Doris and I just get funny looks, especially fro the guys. Little help?

Just keep calling all of them Doris. Eventually one will be named Doris, and you and Doris can make a new rule for the bar that says only people named Doris may work here, and then you will never need to worry about who is or isn't Doris.

A lot of bar staff here have name tags.

You say "hi, my name's so and so, nice to meet you". If they tell you their name, then there you go. If they don't, then you can keep calling them Doris haha

So push them the dial it back pushed then dial it back. And be entertaining, funny etc. I mean they're at work still. They might enjoy thier job but it's still a job.

I forgot to mention I'm in the UK. So I usually go with Hi.
