When you order a pizza, how much do you tip the driver?

Side-note: if you can’t afford to tip someone in an industry where most of their income is tips, you can’t afford to eat out in my opinion.

$2.00. I'm not made of money and the za is already over-priced. I start out paying $12 to $15 for the za and then there's extra for the toppings, more for taxes and then the tip and, by the time I'm done paying, it comes to over $30.00!! If I had a way to get there, I'd go to Vincent's and get twice as much za for about $20 and it'd be a LOT better!! And I don't have to leave tips!

I delivered pizza for years as a side job, and I've also waited tables, so I understand tipping culture and I tip well. Typically around 20% for pizza delivery.

And you are absolutely right: if you can't afford to tip for industries where the workers rely primarily on their tips for their income, then you cannot afford that service, whatever it is.

no tip because i'd be the one picking it up myself. i'm not going to wait an hour for it to get delivered when i can go get it and save money. the delivery charges + tip are becoming more and more ridiculous these days. you are also mad at the wrong people, companies should pay their employees more, not have them rely on tips.

I usually pick it up. If the odd chance I do pick delivery the tip depends on the weather and how far. Maybe minimum of 20, and of course more if it raining, cold, snowy, all that.

Pick it up myself because of trust. Since 2020 I don’t order pizza very often, bake it myself, since we love pizza. 2020 was when they started to try adding the tip to any order, if you had it delivered you wondered should I tip. If you picked it up you wonder what did I tip for. You hear horror stories a lot about what happens to you order if you do not tip good enough.

I don't tip because his delivery fee is included in the bill. Sometimes I round up because I don't need ton of coins.

The only time I tip is when the pizzas delivered to my house by the driver. To me pizza is a fast food industry. I do not tip fast food facilities.

Usually the guys each pitch in $5 on poker night and the extra goes to the driver. $40 of pizza and $5 of tip is common. The driver only has to drive about 3 miles so it’s fair
