These bottle openers used to ubiquitous and came in different shapes. They were sometimes referred to as church keys.
And the can opener part was used to puncture holes in cans of juice. Do you remember doing that?
Most bottles have twist tops and cans have flip tops these days, which is pretty slick.
I used my electric can opener recently to open a can of tomato paste, but I can't remember the last time before that.
Not all cans have pop tops. Most I still need a can opener for. Also, some pop tops break off before you can open the can so you need a can opener for these fails. The only thing I use a "church key" for is to open a can of paint.

I don't think I've ever used an electric tin opener, as for a turn cap one the other day for some rice pudding. As for a bottle cap opener I have a couple in my drawer and one on my keys and used it a few weeks ago for a J20.

I certainly remember church keys, and I still have one, but I don't have an electric can opener. I have a hand-cranked can opener which rarely gets used. Do you remember these can openers?
Most bottles that we use have scree-off tops, and most cans have pull-tabs. Can't remember the last time I used an electric can opener, it's been many years. I did use a hand-held can opener when we went camping last year, to open a can of beans.
i use mine all of the time. it's a wooden shark for opening bottles. i have used the can opening part of this tool once properly to open cans, but i do remember my parents would open the juice this way
Yeah my family has one very similar to the one in the picture. Except it's really old, I'm not sure how old exactly it is, but my family has had it for a long time. 😊
I used to hang one of these on a key chain and had it on the turn signal lever of my Scout. I used to drink a lot back then. I have not seen one in years.
Still have one. Been a while since I used it though
Just about every day. I have not used an electric can opener for years and years.
