Why airport beers cost so much?

I agree almost everything there costs so many times more than it's outside

But I guess we can't blame them either, cause the businesses inside the airport have to pay so much rent and thus to cover the costs and have a profitable business they have to increase the cost

Also since lot of foods and alcohol are not allowed beyond security check.. thus they are sure people are helpless and have no choice if they are hungry or wish to drink

When you are at the airport the only bar that is there is the Airport bar. They have a captive audience so they can charge pretty much as much as they want. It is like at the ballpark.

Another thing is that renting a place for a bar at the airport is hella expensive... They have to cover the costs
