My father used to work as a chef for a Japanese restaurant he started in Los Angeles (also where he met my American mother). So he has a bunch of recipes he developed which he considers a trade secret, passed down only to me and my sister.

They're all very good although some have ingredients that are difficult to come by. One of his recipes I always use is ginger dressing for salads. It's one of the best I ever tried and relatively simple.

It involves a special blend of fish eyes that we keep locked away in our intestines for a week before we take a shit right into fried grease. Best on a rainy day with a spot of tea.
