Do you like Thai food?

Had Thai food with my boyfriend last night on our Valentine's day date and it wasn't bad at all. I actually prefer it to Chinese and think it's slightly healthier.

Thai is one of my favorites. I love panang curry, pad thai, and tom yum gai soup in particular. Spicy Thai fried rice is great. I love Thai iced tea.

I like Chinese a lot. It has more variety. Consider all the dishes available in Chinese buffets. Some "American" Chinese restaurants are definitely better than others. I used to know one that was the best. Everything was home made from the amazing egg rolls to the won tons in their soup.

And Chinese dim sum can be wonderful.

I LOVE Korean, especially daeji bulgogi (marinated, spicy, thinly-sliced pork cooked on a grill at your table); saew gui (not spicy marinated shrimp cooked on a grill at your table); spicy Korean seafood soup; and all the interesting banchan side dishes.

Vietnamese is good. I especially like banh mi sandwiches.

I like Japanese, but it's not big on spices. Traditional sashimi is kind of weird. Some sushi is good. The invention of sushi rolls, which is not traditional) rocks. Some of those are really good.

I've never had Korean or Vietnamese. I'll have to try those.

It's not too different in taste from what looks like red curry (Kaeng Phet) in your picture if I'm not mistaken, but a bit sweeter. It's normally very, very spicy although they usually have mild versions. It's my absolute favorite of all the Thai curry styles, although i enjoy all of them.

I love a Thai green curry. We have a girl from Thailand near us who cooks superb Thai food as close to the available ingredients will allow.

It can be but they give you a scale of how spicy you want your food. It goes from 1 to 5. 1 to 2 is not that spicy.
