I don't usually eat popcorn, unless someone else has it and makes it, or suggests we get some at the movies. It's not my thing. But it's pretty good, especially with all the variety of flavors you can do with sugar, spice, fats, kettlecorn, &c.
My favorite is raw, white corn, which is so sweet and delicious. I think cooking corn low key ruins it. Corn isn't really a health food, but raw white corn is also the healthier choice, which is also a part of why I prefer it.

Organic corn. With yummy salty butter.
I react to some chemicals pretty severely. And corn is a number one when it comes to picking them up and carrying. But haven't had problems with organic, thankfully, as I like both corn and popcorn.

I prefer corn, roasted with butter over the coals of a barbecue - called a braai here - with a basting of scented oil with rosemary, ginger and garlic.

Get it right and it's delicious.

Popcorn IS corn. That's where the name comes from; it's a variety of corn that pops when heated.

  @dustybiker2 heck no, it's sometimes referred to in correctly as peaches and cream which I'd just one variety of bicolor corn which is a combination of white and yellow kernels or niblets. The SH2 rated are super sweet and tender and the sugary sweetness doesn't start turning to starch as soon as it's picked like some of the older varieties.

  @dustybiker2 most grocery stores won't tell you the sugar rating of the corn as there is several ratings. I grow it myself in my veggie garden so I can pick the exact variety I want when I buy the seeds. If you get a bicolor variety from a farmer's roadside stand rather then from some guy with some in the back of a pickup you'll find the farmer picked early thst morning and dtored most of it in a walk-in cooler which keeps it fresh, it will usually be very good. I pick it from my garden snd either husk it and boil it right away or take some of the outer husks off leaving most of them and soak the ribs in very cold water until the husks are well soaked and cook them on the BBQ grill at about 250 to 300° F turning them often until the get a slight char peel them load on the butter and some salt and pepper and enjoy.
