Deep fried pork loin, french fries and lettuce with yogurt-garlic dressing.
Pork loin is cheap here, it's usually dry and tasteless. With the trick to marinate it in milk and onions over 24h it becomes always tasty and tender

Pasta is affordable, and there are now veggie pastas.
Shop first thing in the morning to look for discount cuts of meat. You may have to cook them that day, but I found a ribeye for under $7 yesterday I turned into steak fajitas!
Chicken tacos can be cheap.
By frozen chicken breasts and thaw a few out when you need them. Cheaper than fresh. Look for sales on them. You can use them in pasta, tacos, wih butter noodles, salads.
Baked sweet potatoes.

The reduced section in the supermarket. It's normally the last 2 to 3 hours before the shop closes. You can make lots of meals from the food :)
