Do you enjoy bacon in your baked beans?

When I am making beans using canned beans, I drain the juice from the can, pour out the beans, add dark brown sugar (2T to the can), and at least a strip or two of cooked, crumpled bacon. (Sometimes, I'll also add other spices, flavorings, etc. ) From dried beans I cook the beans, drain, and then continue as above. I have never made beans where I will just lay a slab or two of ham/bacon side atop the beans, though: I mix everything in together since it's just the two of us. If I were making it for a big crowd like a church supper, I would consider putting a slab atop the beans in a casserole for better presentation, and just let everyone else try to dissect it!

Yes. Bacon pieces or ham cooked in with the beans gives them a great flavor.

I've never had it before. But I guess in a brown sugar it'd work since there's the savory and sweet mix. Besides the earthy flavor of the beans.

They always put at least one cube of bacon in each can but, I never eat it because it's too soft, thick and rubbery. If it was thin and cooked well, like normal bacon, I'd love it!!

I don't like foods that are both sweet and salty at the same time. I like something that is salty but not sweet or sweet but not salty.

Sure! I just remove baked beans and add a toasted bun, along with 8 ounces of grilled burger. Top that fucker with peanut butter and A-1 underneath, then prepare a change of underwear for the foodgasm you're about to bite into..
