Its made from barley. So I would say its more of a bread. But here comes the question... does that mean tomato soup is a smoothie? And that Vodka is a soup as well? As a man of science, I would say we need to overhaul the whole definition of food, as there are only 3 states of food: 1] Soup, 2] Sandwich and 3] Salad

  Agreed. I'm past the days of drinking too much. I probably had one year in my early 20s where I would drink on the weekends with friends to a point where you get sick half the time. That's not fun. Now I enjoy my beer or bourbon on small moderation.

No vegetables make spirits.
you can sort of make vegetable beer but they are mixed with malted barley and hops

No. A vegetable is the edible portion of a plant. While beer may contain ingredients fitting that description, it is ultimately a concoction of ingredients processed by means which wouldn’t come together naturally without human intervention.
