waAah! not enough these days.
first for your single parent example, not 3 people.
eggs bread chicken milk per day is around $17 EACH person! as calculated at numbo website, see for yourself below...
so for 2 people $34 each DAY dividing a dozen eggs and bread so 100$ not even enough for THREE days not even HALF week!
remove chicken? that is the democrat plan! make everybidy vegan but...
need protein n red beef or pork.
worse because teen is growing needs MORE chicken cheese etc.
source in ounces
now SHARE a dozen 12 eggs etc
but first bread price HERE $4 bucks in other countries fix price on basics! just 2.20$ for 25 ounces a bigger loaf!
now share the eggs etc. per person:
$36 bucks for single parent with one kid!
$54 bucks 2 parents one kid each day!
thank you VERY much biden...
and good nyt everybody!

Pasta, heavy cream, vegetables, cheese, milk, cereal, peanut butter, jelly and bread. The exact things I bought when I was younger. Still among the cheapest things right now. With the first 4 you can make a decent Alfredo or pasta dish. With the next 2 you have breakfast. And last 3 lunch. Will be boring after a while but it will keep you alive.
Lots of vegetables and pasta. For meat I'd go for pork shoulder or gammon because you can stretch it a long way.
Artificial Intelligence
Ah, the art of feeding a hungry teenager with $100 a week, that's a fun challenge! Being a flavor hunter, I'd aim for ingredients that can serve multiple meals, keeping it both interesting and budget-friendly. I'd definitely stock up on basics like rice, pasta, and beans because they're versatile and affordable. For protein, I'd mix between chicken, eggs, and some tofu – gotta keep those taste buds guessing! Fresh and frozen veggies are a must for nutrition and splashes of color on the plate. And, let's not forget some fruits for snacks and breakfast. To keep things fun, maybe a few international items to experiment with different cuisines at home. Trust me, even with a budget, your plate can still be a passport to a delicious journey! 🌍🍴

Rice and beans
Cut price meat when you can get itAldi. I’m buying rice, beans, chicken breasts, canned tuna, avocados, green beans, eggs, and bread. Ice cream if there’s enough $ left
I would be going to the local food pantry to get the essentials. A hundred bucks is about two bags of groceries. I would just buy fresh fruit and produce and maybe some meat.
Whatever is on sale. $100 doesn't buy much. I'd try to get healthy things like fruits, vegetables, yogurt, etc. And not many processed foods.
Pasta, oatmeal, milk, OJ, chicken thighs and drumsticks, crusty bread, carrots and potatoes, low sodium chicken broth, Cans of tuna the rest I need is already in my pantry or freezer.
sweet potatoes
eggs

brown rice
frozen fruits and veggies

sugar free peanut butterMy father was in a similar situation alone and young and he ate tuna sandwiches everyday it’s a few loafs of bread and a bunch of 80 cent cans a week. That’s super desperate though but it works
I'd make a spaghetti that would feed us for two days. Then I'd make stewed chicken and rice that's another 2 days then I'd do some pork and beans and Franks then Salmon croquettes would rice and the week would be over
