Have bar / restaurant trends changed post covid?

one bar/restaurant i go to says there not as busy post covid and that peoples habits have changed although i'm not entirely sure that is what there problem is.

Since many restaurants simply closed down, with many of those remaining shortening their hours of operation, it's no longer a matter of hopping in the car and suggesting places to go as we're backing out of the driveway.

The scenario is now much more work than it used to be.
We have to ask ourselves who is still in business, are they open right now, when will they be closing, or we seem to recall that the menu has changed drastically at this, that, and the other place.

Couple that with the extremely odd types of restaurants that have recently begun to fill some of the empty buildings around my town and I've just about given up on dining out.

It's a real pain to find restaurants worth visiting.

many of our restaurants are still open although some are only open during the summer as my area is more of a summer hot spot than year round.

is a couple smaller restaurants that disappeared since covid , seemed to happen more in the smaller out lying towns where the odd place disappeared. my town of 1000 people , we only have like 2 restaurants now , a french fry/burger place and a wing place.

I have only been to a bar a few times since the pandemic started, maybe just one time. I would say the only thing that has changed is that prices are higher and the people who serve you are not as good looking as they were before. I went with a friend and they gave us bad seats, they used to give me amazing seats when I went there alone.

the girls serving tend to be better looking during the summer here when there back home from school , by fall and winter not many girl servers here as better looking ones are away at school

and its weird when i ask them if they have serving jobs when at school , they all say no. like they don't even work when at school as servers

so weird i was at a chain restaurant in another city last night a " jack astors " normally known for hiring really attractive women as servers and your right the servers are not as good looking as before , of the girls there hardly any would of been type i'd describe as super attractive. they were still ok , not ugly but more average type girls than you'd expect there , where'd all the hot girls go? perhaps there all at college / university and don't work as servers during fall when at school
