I mean look at Mexican food... it's the same fucking ingredients put into different forms. Italian... same shit... we get it already some sort of pasta, red sauce and some cheese. It's the same with Indian food... curry... yay... cheese nan bread... yay... what do you want me to say about it? At least it has different flavors while spaghetti and lasagna taste exactly the same and so do tacos and burritos. Maybe less cheese or more... it's whatever.
Not a fan of those Indian videos of them eating cow shit though. That's nasty. Let's stick to that butter chicken curry instead of cow shit.
This food is typical Indian food but it is eaten only 3-4 times a month because its variety is so much that they do not get a chance to eat it.
Home food has less spices and less oil and it is not fried but half roasted and half boiled and has very little or no gravy.
Naan is also not eaten at home. Instead, roti or chapati made of wheat, millet, ragi or corn is eaten.
Rice is almost the same.
Breakfast is often upma, poha or salted vermicelli with lots of peanuts.
I don't often eat Indian cuisine but, when I did, my experiences were memorably enjoyable.
I will never forget the dishes and/or beverages I enjoyed.
Equally, I also won't forget those I will never want to try again.
If the restaurant or venue can start me off with Indian Chai Tea beverage and Chaat or Thali appetizers, I'm in!
My usual faves are Murgh Makhani, Rogan Josh, Biryani and flatbreads baked inside a clay tandoor.
It smells like main street in Mumbai, when millions of people emptied their bowels without proper sewage

I order Indian food on a regular basis. :-)
Real Indian food is gross. But Indian takeaway's are great.
The difference is obvious it is modernized for western culture, and made more unhealthy but tasting much better.
Granted I've not had much experience with real home made India food however all I know is I love unhealthy food and one day it's going to get me back but I can't help it.
Yeah, I think it was Akaash Singh, either him or Nimesh Patel who said that Indian FOOD is not the same as Indian CUISINE XD
You think the Western version is more unhealthy? I've only had it in America.
It's like all food here, it's made to be more unhealthy in the west. You can of course find healthier options if you look, but the average who say they like Indian food or even going to Chinese food they just mean takeaway. That's filled with more salt and all the bad stuff we like.
But Indian food in India gives you the shits though, because they wipe their asses with their bare hands then don't wash their hands properly and handle food.
"Chinese Takeaway" and "Mexican" are more fushion food. I've traveled quite a bit and from my experience, not always but the majority of the time, Western versions of ethnic foods are often better than the original. Maybe they're unhealthier because of chemicals, but like you said, it tastes better. For example European versions of Turkish food are juicier and saucy.
The only food I've tried where the original was better was Caribbean food.
I like Indian food, Thai food, Mexican food, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Any food that is well seasoned and has lots of flavor. I don't want to eat a bunch of food cooked by old white ladies who don't know what seasonings are and still cook like we're in the middle of the great depression (the way all my friends Moms cooked)
I love Indian food. I just have to be prepared for a stomach ache.
Maybe you should try South Indian or Kashmiri food instead of Punjabi. They aren’t spicy
@Babygirl_S South Indian food is actually spicy, People from Rayalaseema (Andhra Pradesh) eat a hell of spicy food.
Ok! I was talking about dosa, idli etc. Kashmiri cuisine involves the use of milk products in the curries.
Never Indian food. What you're showing is not Indian food. That's Indian CUISINE. Indian CUISINE I have tried in the US and I liked it. Indian FOOD is very different from Indian CUISINE, and not something I want to try.
Overall, Indian food is good, and I enjoy it. Like any cuisine, some dishes are better than others.
Indian cuisine is so good. I've only eaten it in the US, but I love it!
I tried a bunch, special bread or yogurt and salads, yum!

It's pretty good, I love it. Flavorful and spicy 🌶️
Indian food varies too much depending on where it's from but Vindaloos are great, samosas, almost all of the breads most dals
Chicken Tikka Masala ☺😋
Indian food is a lot better than Indian culture - by all means :)
it's somehow always brown and my bowels are ordering emergency evacuation right after...
Its one of those cuisines best ate with friends
I never had it. But I’ll try it if given the opportunity.

The world would be a boring place without Indian, Italian and Chinese cuisines
Never tasted it but want to. One day I will go to an Indian restaurant.
I generally don’t like it. Butter chicken is ok, but otherwise I don’t care for it.
I have tried them, and most were delicious in my opinion.
Indian food is really good and lots of options
I'm a vegetarian, so I like Indian food very much.
